Seat Guru  —

This site maybe my new online best friend to visit before booking air travel.  This site has all of the seating, for all of the airlines, for all of their planes, with all the pluses and minuses in regards to seating that open in a balloon when you click on the seat your thinking about booking.

Want to make sure you have a clear view of the in-flight movie?  Do you need to make sure that there is ample storage space underneath your seat for carry-ons?   Do you want to make sure you avoid sitting amongst the lavatory line while hurling through the air?  Do you want to make sure that window seat you booked actually has a window?  Some don't.  Do you need to have storage space onboard for a stroller, or need easy access to the facilities onboard?  Do you want to sit far away from the flight attendants so you don't have to listen to them complain?  If so, this site is a must for perusing before you book.

Firstly, you need to know which flight you want to take and the aircraft involved.  Then open up seatguru.com, find the airline, (which is located in the menu on the left portion of the site window), then choose the flight aircraft for the trip, then view the cabin map and decide which seats work for you.  If you use this in tandem with booking your flight online or with a travel agent, you can get the plane seating location you desire, and the location which best fits your needs.  The hint:  Use the cabin map while browsing through the available seats online, and you're now empowered to make the best, most informed choice for your trip.

I like to position myself for a quick exit from the plane, have a good view of the on screen movie if they don't have a seat back entertainment system, and make sure there is plenty of storage room under my seat.  I usually travel with a carry on for the overhead, and my camera/laptop bag under my seat, so extra storage under my seat is important to me.   On some planes there is even room to store your stuff behind your seat if your sitting in front of one of the partition bulkheads, and you can find it all now online.  Imagine, extra room for a stroller if your traveling with kids.  You can also find seating with more legroom!!!  This site should definitely enhance your calm in regards to air travel.  With seatguru.com, it's just plain easy to make a good choice!

Steve says:  seatguru.com.  I give it 10 stars!  I like it that much.

I love this website. I travel for at least 4 months out of the year, and this website has helped me tremendously. I always pull up this site now before I get online to buy tickets, and even chose my headphones per reviews on this site.
