Horrible Repair Service
4 years and one month after I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator, the compressor goes out. Which was under warranty but had to pay 99 for service call and 49 for an extended warranty. Went out on 4/20 after calling every day finally got a tech to come out on 4/24. The tech came out took about 10 min to come into house. When he did come in, he brought no tools or equipment just open the refrigerator and said yep it is the compressor. Told me the part was on the van which was not. Then mad comment about if he had the part, he could have me up and going in no time. 4/25 parts was ordered for the refrigerator all but one part was cancelled and re orders. 4/26 received all parts except for the one that was cancelled. 4/30 was on the phone with 5 different people which the warranty dept. hung up on me. My new appointment was to be schedule date for service 5/3. 4/30 received the last part called Sear to request a new appointment and still was told 5/3. The people were rude and not caring. The service is horrible. The customer is at Sear's repair service mercy and the company doesn't care to help the customer out at all. I have always bought my appliances from Sear's along with tools and such but the company is now going out of business which is a great thing. It is sad that you have to wait 2 weeks to get a refrigerator fix with no compensation of the inconvenience of not having a refrigerator having to live out of a cooler, buy ice every day and eat food that will not require being refrigerated. A company that has made billions that don't care about their customers at all. SAD
