I usually don't look for clothes anywhere except my favorite store (New York and Company), however I needed some casual pants since the few pairs I owned finally had it.  I usually don't shop at Sears since the last few years I've found it hard to know what section I belong in.  Their store isn't labelled well, or at least not well enough for me to notice signs, so I don't even know what section is for me.  It's rough.  I bought some turtlenecks there last year, but it was just a fluke that I saw them.

Anyway this weekend my mom was looking for some clothes and shoes at Sears and I decided to look too since I had time while she tried stuff on.  There were SO MANY PANTS!  I swear there were 40+ racks of pants.  Some were labelled with what style they were, others weren't.  I'd find the rack that was labelled for the style I liked (straight leg), then I'd find my size and the pants I pulled out were often times not the same style as on the rack label.  So many of the items were misplaced.  Whatever happened to when they used to fold pants on shelves so it was very easy to find your fit, style and size?  It was disappointing when I thought I found my size in a pant I really liked, and then find out it was the wrong style on the wrong rack.

Anyway, I didn't want to give up easily so I did keep searching.  I FINALLY found 1 pair of brown pants in the perfect size, fit and feel.  So of course I did what any good shopper does - I bought it in three colors :)  Too bad they didn't have the Khaki color in my size, but I went home and ordered a pair of the same style online in Khaki.

Conclusion: So I will go to Sears now and again, but I will only go on a day when I have some time to really dig through things because it took so long to find exactly what I wanted!  They have 100s of pants and lots of brands so I know now that they do have pants for me, but I just have to search for them.  I don't care for many of the shirts in my section, but I've found some things so it's still worth a look every so often.  Enjoy!!

In response to PattyTherre's comment from Oct 21, 2009 at 12:23AM:

Yes I generally shop online for Sears stuff like furniture and the like, but when it comes to pants I have to try them on. Especially since they don't list inseams for girls. Case in point: I tried on 4 different brands of "average" pants. 2 were way too long, 2 were perfect. In the ones that were too long, I tried "short" and they were like floods. Why do women only get three height options (short, average, tall). Geez, men are so spoiled :)

All the Sears stores around here are like mazes. I get nervous in them because I twist and turn and have no clue where I am. They really need better organization. I do like what they carry sometimes but finding it is really hard as you said. I just go to the site.

Our Sears is pretty scattered too but they do have good sales!
