When I purchased my side by side refrig I also brought service warranty. I have used it three times with no problems. When we had a strom and lost our power, I lost food in both my refrig and my chest freeze I had had purchased several years before, but kelpt to warranty paid up, Sears paid my a total... read full review »

Sears will soon be out of business if they treat all their long term customers like I have been treated!  And, as well as this lousy customer service, the appliances are no longer reliable and long lasting.  There was a time when Kenmore was a respected brand.  In the last 5 years, I have purchased...

We had Sears install a new furnace and air conditioner in our home.  The salesman was nice enough but I didn't really like the high pressure of having to make our decision the day he was there.  We had it installed and all went well, but  a month later there is water on the floor by the furnace and we then started having problems getting someone out to check out the problem.  The numbers on the business card the salesman gave us no longer work (that worries me).  We finally got through to someone at Sears and they said they would send someone out.  Of course no one came, so we had to contact... read full review »

SEARS TELEPHONE ANSWERING SERVICE - Having a recording ask me the purpose of my call and having that recording not recognize that purpose, then having the recording rush ahead if I don't respond in just a second or two because none of the examples cited is the reason for my call, is so darn frustrating.  What may serve customers better is an old fashioned human being, and in lieu of that, at least an additional choice for "other" concerns/questions that will get you to a real, live, breathing, person.

I ask you to experiment one time, call Sears and ask for Miracle Ear.  I believe Miracle Ear...

I am currently taking Sears Canada to Small Claims Court.  I purchased an AC unit from Sears about 2 years ago.  I only used it for 2 summers, which is a total of 6 months maximum.  This year I turned it on and it was not cooling, this was on April 26th, 2009.  It is now July 3rd and EXTREMELY humid and hot in Montreal, Quebec and I am 6 months pregnant and Sears has yet to repair my AC unit!!    This is a nightmare, I have called the customer service department at least 30 times and i am not exagerating.  I have had 2 service calls where the repairman could not figure out the problem...

I have a service protection plan and have had it for many years. Now Sears has decided that since I live 30 miles out of Dallas, they will only come to my location on Mondays. I paid the FULL price for my protection and find this unacceptable. No mention ever was made that full price from me meant half service from Sears. Now I will be without television, a 50 inch DLP Samsung for almost a month. I paid 2700.00 for this set and have had many, many repairs on it. Sears seems to just blow it off as a cost cutting issue, yet any town in the metroplex of the Dallas/Fort Worth area is 30 miles... read full review »

After purchasing a LG steam front loading washer and dryer and a 50 gallon hot water heater for my new house on April 30, 2008 I had a problem with the rebate and TRIED to call my local store. After many vane attempts and requests to talk to the salesman in the local store I was badly treated and patronized. The service person insisted that THEY would take care of the problem. I related the problem and was told there was nothing they could do. When I called back to complain to a supervisor, they HUNG UP ON ME. I was not rude or mean, just insistant that I be given the direct number for the store....

I called the Sears repair line today to set up an appointment for a repair man to come out and install a new part I had bought for my cooktop stove.  I had cracked the top and wanted to replace just that piece.  The part came in and I called to set up an appointment to have someone come out.  It was awlful.  First, you have to answer about a hundred questions to this voice (what happened to true customer service??), then when you FINALLY get a person, they transfer you, then that person transfers you, and then that person transfers you and then you get hung up on!!!  I was so frustrated that... read full review »

Sears repair service request was very unprofessional.  I had to wait to be transfer from person to person saying the same thing like a game. "I will now transfer you for someone in repairs who will further assist you" I fell for the first two times.  On the third time, I asked whether this was a game?  Costumer service lady hang up on me.  I expend lots of money on Sears so that when I need help for some one to from repair to come to my house to place the doors on my refrigerator that were order by Sears, I get treated like that.

Costumer very dissatisfied with the telephone service for home...

Sears has been a staple in our family for a very long time. We buy our appliances there and have always been happy with the service dept. BUT i must say the customer service call center is absolutely horrible.  The people don't speak ENGLISH...they don't listen and they hang up if you get frustrtated with them in the least.  I spent about an hour trying to get someone to speak to me about my dryer light.  I was hung up on twice!  All I wanted was to be transferred to the repair dept.

I hope the call center falls off the face of the earth!  then maybe you will open another one here in AMERICA...????...

Last year, i bought a Kenmore elite food processor.  First time i used it, the spring button to secure closing, literally sprang off the processor, not locking it anymorel.  As a safety feature, wouldn't run anymore without manually holding button down.  I glued it back in, and worked great.  Used it two more times after that.  The 4th time, in just a year, i used processor, using shredding blade, the pulse button stuck and wouldn't shut off without unplugging.  I pulled out my manual and sales receipt, put appliance in bag, couldn't find the box, and my husband and I went to the Sears...

I have never had such a frustrating experience as I have had while trying to deal with the Sears Repair Department.  My washer has been out of commision for more than two weeks and I FINALLY had an appointment for this morning from 8-12.  I took the day off and sat here and waited...and waited...and waited.  At 12noon, when a technician still hadn't appeared, I called the customer service department who told me they would send a message to the repairman and that I was next in line.  Bad enough that I had already been sitting here for four hours, but he didn't call, nor did he show up by 2pm. ...

My grill stopped working, again, after only having it for 18 months. I called Sears, made an appt, took the day off work, and they never showed up. I called back again and now it's going to be another 2 weeks before anyone can come out to fix it. I will never buy anythign frm Sears again, they are horrible and do not care about their customers.  I also bought a camerra from them, went on vacation, took  pics which came out horrible, went to retunr the camera only to be charged a 15% restocking fee. WHAT THE?? I kept reminding the rep and the manager that the pics came out bad, they wanted me...

Bought a Fridgidaire Freezer/Refrigerator.  33 days later, it quit.  Took a week to get someone out to look at it.  He determined that the control unit was bad, and of course, had to order the part.  He scheduled a repair for a week later, but because the unit was on back order, we had to cancel.  A week later the part arrives and I call to schedule the actual install.  And, I'm told I have to wait ANOTHER week.  So, I'm w/o a freezer for almost a month.

I grew up in a household that bought a lot of stuff @ Sears.  Never again.  Would I recommend them to a friend?  I wish viewpoints had...
