Sears Home Appliance Warranty Service —

Sears will soon be out of business if they treat all their long term customers like I have been treated!  And, as well as this lousy customer service, the appliances are no longer reliable and long lasting.  There was a time when Kenmore was a respected brand.  In the last 5 years, I have purchased both a side by side fridge and an installed dishwasher.  Both broke down within 3 years.  Fixing the ice maker in the fridge cost $350!  The dishwasher, less than 3 years old, is now kaput, with a $315 (EXTORTION!) repair needed...

This would be bad enough, but attempting to schedule service entails trying to communicate to individulas who obviously speak languages other than English and appear to be more interested in selling a warranty rather than provide repairs.  And, due to their poor English and/or poor training, correct phone numbers and correct availability times don't seem to be recorded properly.  After this last go round, where both my partner and I missed work to wait in vain for the repair call,  this is the last straw.

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM SEARS AGAIN AND WILL TELL EVERYONE ON THIS EARTH OF MY EXPERIENCES!

sears service and warranty response has slipped considerably in my opinion. my 3 year old range shorted out and "exploded in two flashes that scorched the tile behind it. i have had 3 techs out to fix it and none of them have fixed it yet. number 4 is coming out this saturday and i have very little confidence in this try. my favorite part of this circus is the customer service phone rep suggested that my wife unplug and re-plug in the range each time we need to use it as a cure to the problem. i hope they don't pay this idiot more than 2.00 dollars an hour. we were on the phone with these idiots for more than an hour trying to talk sense to them. i truly believe they hire idiots to make you so mad that you hang up and just give up. that is the sears psychology in not having to be repsonsible for inferior appliances. i am done with sears.

If you want to be ripped off, buy an appliance from Sears!!!I purchased a Sears Kenmore refrigerator Nov 2006 and it stopped cooling Feb 2009. Called Sears Service and they charged $70 service call and then said it was the evaporator coil and the part would be $175 and Labor would be $217, which totals almost as much as the refrigerator is worth. The Warranty on the refrigerator says there is a "FULL 5 YEAR SEALED SYSTEM WARANTY". I spent several hours on the phone with them to explain that the evaporator coil is part of the sealed system and later found out that it is federal law that all manufacturers provide a 5 year sealed system warranty. They responded that the service tech would understand the warranty and will come out for another estimate. They said that labor is not covered although all of my research suggests it is federal law. This company is lousy and they will soon be out of business. They subcontract to incompetent people and delegate everything. I will never do business with them again. MWH Atlanta, GA

100% Agree with your comment ,Sears need to close its door to its customer .they are just fooling people in order to sale goods.one hour and fifteen min on the phone with C/S dept to get somebody to fix Kenmore washer ,noting accomplished they just bounce you from one to another department. A big good bye to sears .
