I have never had a problem with the Sears credit card when I had one.  I had it for over 10 years without issues.  I actually miss having one.  The interest rate was extremely high though.  But they never double billed me or overcharged me.  When I had a return, it was always credited back to my... read full review »

I don't remember now why I ever applied for a Sears credit card.  I must have been crazy.

Over the years I have stopped using the card altogether except to pay some premiums on Sears insurance policies which I purchased in response to special offers made to me as a Sears cardholder.  I guess apathy...

I, too have been changing over balances from various cards, and Sears was the first to go with actually paying it off!

I have not kept a balance on Sears Card for over a year and I will never keep a balance--no matter how "good" their major appliances may be.

Check out the Lowe's Card for major appliance purchases, they usually have 0% for a year and then you pay it off. I make payments monthly and it's paid off before the one year due date.

There is NOTHING WORTH PURCHASING USING SEARS CARD and keeping a balance with in-humane interest rates!

This will just reduce what money you have and you'll...

Its a great card when you need to purchase large items for your home.  They have pretty great deals with the card and their initial credit limits are decent, but be careful of their interest rates.  Try to negotiate the rate.  Highest I've seen with them is 29%.  Its worth applying if you can handle paying the card off.  If not, don't even try.

had this card for decades, missed one payment ( bill got lost on my desk and I forgot) made it up next month.....I don't know about anyone else, but I think charging nearly 30 percent interest to a  steady customer is not a good business plan...but then again , who is watching out for us consumers????  Sears sure isn't.....I put my card through the shredder!

I AM REVIEWING THE SEARS GOLD MASTER CARD AND THEIR POLICIES FOR OVER CHARGING INTEREST RATES, BECAUSE THEY CHANGE YOUR DUE DATE.

I BELEIVE THAT CREDIT CARD COMPANIES ARE VERY WRONG FOR CHANGING DUE DATES TO FIT THEIR CALENDARS AND THEIR POCKET BOOKS.

I HAVE BEEN HEARING THIS COMPLAINT FROM ALL MY FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES THAT HOLD MAJOR CREDIT CARDS.

MAYBE THESE COMPANIES SHOULD GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND CHECK OUT WHO'S THE BOSS AND WHO IN THE END LOOSES FROM THIS TACTIC.

BECAUSE I AS WELL AS SOME OF MY ASSOCIATES HAVE TRANSFERED OUR BALANCES FROM SOME OF THESE COMPANIES.

WHICH HAS TURNED OUT...

I acquired my Sears card under duress: I desperately needed work done on my card and it was offered to me with a deferred, no-interest payment plan so I took it.  Good thing, too, because the normal rate of interest is astronomical!  Any future use of this card will be during deferred payment/no interest sales only!

The sears credit card is nothing special unless you shop there often.  If you do, Sears offers some days where some things are 10% off when purchased with their credit card.

This is the only credit card that i have that dies not have a rewards program.  I applied during a weak moment when a cashier at K-Mart was very helpful to me.  I found out that she would get some type of compensation if I opened a charge card. So I did.

I opened it right in the checkout lane, so the application process couldn't have been easier.  I received a free 2-liter soda of my choice (I let the cashier choose and...

THIS IS NOT A VERY GOOD REVIEW FOR THE SEARS CHARGE CARD, THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE  DEPARTMENT FOR THE CREDIT CARDS, IS REALLY TERRIBLE,WHAT I FIND THEY DO IS SEND YOU AN OFFICIAL LETTER IN THE MAIL STATING THAT YOU ARE APPROVED  FOR THEIR CREDIT CARDS,, BUT AFTER YOU FILL OUT ALL OF YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION, YOU GET A LETTER, STATING THAT YOU ARE DECLINED, THIS IS A VERY TERRIBLE STATUES PROSIDERE, THAT THEY HAVE, I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD NOT  TELL PEOPLE THAT THEY ARE ARE APROVED IF IN ACTUALLITY THE ARE NOT

I have had a Sears Credit Card for almost 30 years. My Gold card interest rate shot to 29.9% after missing one payment due to my wife being in the hospital. They acknowledged my long term good credit with them, but refused to lower my rate. I paid off balance and have not used their card for past 9 months. I also stopped shopping at Sears or K-Mart.

The Sears Card has been a good experience for me.  Customer Service when I needed it was good.  I just don't do much shopping at Sears or Sears.com.

I only use this card when I have to use it to get special deals.  I would pay it off as soon as the bill came.  I only use my credit union's Visa Card.

It is nice now that you can use your sears card now at Kmart. The interest rate is high so we try to pay it off before the bill comes in.
