I decided to give Microsoft's Live Search engine a try when I learned that, if you allow Microsoft to tie your search results to a username, they will reward you with either cash or tickets that can be redeemed for merchandise or airline miles. — — So far, the free airline miles for searching and the associated games site have been the best thing about using Live Search. Google provides solid products (or sometimes just "as to be expected" products when they are in beta) to the Internet community, usually at no cost. Who foots the bill? The plethora of search engines available on the World Wide Web is astounding. I would have to say that Google by far is the most popular one to use with perhaps Yahoo and MSN following suit. Google is great. You can search for anything and everything. It's fast and easy and great for research for school. You can look up anything you want or need. Search for online shopping sites, lookup information on any school topic, search for recipes, photos, etc. It's the best search engine I've seen. The only fault I see with Google is all of the advertising. You have to ask yourself if the sponsored ads can really be trusted. For example, let's say you're looking for a free anti-virus program. When a search has to be done, Google is always my first choice. Even if I'm not sure sometimes how to word the search, it seems Google understands and knows what I am trying to convey. It cuts to the chase and gives you the most revlevant links first. I have never been disappointed. The few times that I didn't get results, there were none to get. Google is awesome! I can find anything & everything using Google's Search Bar. It's #1 for me, and I tell everyone that isn't already using google how much better it is the others! — At work, I'm the lucky one that gets to help people with their computer. I don't know why, I'm not that knowledgable, but people always come to me. So, since I'm in there, I always install the google toolbar and uninstall whatever else they've got running.
