I wrote the original review fo the True Form here 6 months later we get a very displeasing surprise. We were told that at 6 months & every 6 months from that date we are to unzip the cover of the matress to launder to protect from mites, bed bus, whatever wants to move in. With oak floors that are easy to dust weekly we don't worry about it as I vacuum the mattress also weekly when I launder the linens.
So husband lifts the left side and I see the handles of the zipper to grab & pull and he follows around the mattress til we got it off. As we uncover the the large solid pudding feeling mattress we see a hole in the lower right side (facing the mattress from the bottom). So we phone Mattress Warehouse, where we bought it, and a new manager who could care less doesn't want to be bothered. So I phoned the Corporate office giving his name & his treatment. I received a phonecall back from Brian Thompson, the District Manager who did not like to hear a manager with Chris' attitude. We need to have a claim filled out for Sealy, since they made the mattress, wrapped it in thick plastic & then box it for them to deliver. So next day the delivery guys came out, unzipped it to write up the claim for us. 4 days later we get a call that the replacement mattress will be made for us. We have S11 style which they have improved in 6 months, so now we will have 12" thick matress with 5 layers of comfort to be even softer. The new name is CRYSTAL SEA and is selling for $3000. So we go to Mattress Warehouse to see it & Chris the Manager tells us hat he received a fax of the letter we are receiving. We paid $1300 + tax for ours, so we owe $1700 for the new bed. Excuse me but we have a 20 year warranty for something we didn't do.
So I phone Brian Thompson who tells me about the new mattress that we will get the first one at no cost other than $50 delivery fee to the union delivery men. A week later they are here installing the new one, They even unzipped it to be sure of no damage, a new practice since our problem. So 10 hours to air it out & we made it & just fell into it and we were out for 10 hours. THIS IS ONE GREAT BED! So much better than the S11 that we had which Ithought was the best. Our warranty starts on 5/28, the delivery date also not the purchase date.
Yes i did type in the new warranty for Sealy. Told them I am ready to do their next ad.
