Sealy Posturepedic Mattress Review Summary

Interested in a mattress that one reviewer calls “the best mattress I have ever owned”? If so, you should know that people who enjoy quality gave the Sealy Posturepedic mattress a very good grade. What did they like about it? Our reviewers report that the Sealy Posturepedic is firm, yet comfortable. Those who suffer from neck pain noted that they had no neck discomfort after sleeping on the Sealy Posturepedic. This mattress is not perfect, however, our reviewers had some complaints. Some members noted that due to the thickness of the mattress it was difficult to find sheets that are large enough to fit. Also, Sealy Posturepedic mattresses have no handles, which complicates moving it to a different location. Reviewers felt that the Sealy Posturepedic was pricey, but according to one member this Sealy mattress was the “best investment I have ever made”. I bought this mattress one year back. I bought it for little under 1000, i still love it. It gives ma perfect night sleep. My mattress is 18 plus inches. I highly recommend this mattress. Also make syre to buy the mattress pad to keep it away from stains. I bought this mattress from JC penny and they... read full review »

This is the first mattress that I bought since moving out on my own. My husband and I were given a hand me down mattress so we decided we wanted to buy a good mattress. Neither of us had ever had a really nice mattress so I decided to splurge. When I went shopping for the mattress, I immediately went...

We bought this mattress in March 2006.  After 6 months the mattriess was sagging in the spots where I sleep and my husband sleeps.  Since you can not turn this mattress over, all we can do is turn around every 2 weeks.  The pillow top is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on.  I will never buy this mattress again.  For the price I paid for this mattress, I was very disappointed.  You would think that when you pay $500 for a mattress, it would last a little longer. We need to buy a new mattress.  The last mattress I had lasted 15 years.  This one lasted 2 years.

Bought this Sealy Posturepedic Mattress, king size top end model, at NE Furniture Mart on sale for around $1400 and we absolutely hate it.  After about 60 days of use, whatever support there was broke down and now it's like sleeping on a $10 foam mattress.  When I first lay down it feel nice and comfortable but after 30 minutes there's a "waller" that's difficult to get out of.  It's hard to roll over and my shoulders hurt because of the taco shape hole I'm in.  Have owned it for 4 months and am considering how to get rid of it and get something else but as we spent so much money for it our... read full review »

I just couldn't sleep! Toss n Turning all night long! Getting up every two hours! My back hurt and all my muscles ached! It was so frustrating! So I decided that I needed a new mattress!

At the store, the Sealy Posturepedic Mattress looked comfortable! I sat on it and I reclined on it! I was on a cloud that was so different than my mattress at home! I felt like taking a nap right there in the store! So I decided Sealy Posturepedic Mattress was the mattress for me.

That night, I fell asleep on my new mattress and when I woke up it was morning! I couldn't believe it! A full nights sleep and...

purchased a 'great' mattress at a 'sleep clinic'...one that was made for me, so said the technician.  I spent more money than I would have liked but wanted the best mattress so I would feel like a queen every night when I went to bed; a luxury so to speak.  I did not get what I paid for and am having someone come out to measure the 'divet' that has been created in less than one years time.  The mattreess is so heavy it made it difficult to turn especially being a single woman.

I recently purcashed a Serta Sealy Posturepedic it was a great purchase. After several weeks sleeping on it it made a difference in my sleep patterns. It was awesome the warranty I have it is great. But the downside is to get a replacement free of charge there has to be at least a 2inch slump in the middle. I have had this matteress for 3 months now and there is a slump in the middle but still they would not honor the warranty. I had to be a pest about it for almost a year before they had replaced it. I had bought it at Darvin's Furniture in Orland Park, Illinois

Within two weeks of getting our new (and quite expensive) Sealy (West Hill Luxury Firm) Posturpedic Mattress from Steinhafel's we noticed something was very wrong.  The mattress sags significantly when laid on by two adults for over 15 minutes.  You will actually form a "V."  We were told this is a comfort issue; this is not a comfort issue, this is a manufacturing defect!  Neither the Sealy Corporation nor Steinhafel's will take responsility for this problem as it cannot be seen by the naked eye.  Under no circumstances should you buy this particular mattress and you should consider going...

When it came time to buy a mattress for my daughter first big girl bed I didn't hesitate to buy a Sealy Posturpedic Mattress.  He mattress is so comfortable that I would sleep in her bed over mine any night.  This mattress is durable and I know that it will last for many years to come.  The only bad thing that I have found is that it is very think and it is hard to find sheets that go the whole way down over the sides.  The other bad thing is that is doesn't have any handles with made moving it to her new room a pain.  Overall this mattress was a great item and we got it at a great price.

C&C MATTRESS just sold us what was supposed to be new Sealy Latex mattress. On Friday 1-23-09, it arrived but the delivery men refused to allow us to inspect mattress. C&C's website states: "REFUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR ANY REASON, ONCE THE PACKAGING HAS BEEN OPENED".
After they left it we opened the box and discovered a SPLIT DOWN THE SIDE OF THE MATTRESS. The split was not a tear, but rather a foot long section that was not stitched CLOSED. It was stitched to it's own ends leaving the foam hanging out. We immediately phoned and spoke to C&C Mattress in New Jersey and advised them that the delivery...

I bought these in June of 2008.  One of them is sagging over 3 inches.  The other one is just barely under 1 1/2 " (so far) but doesn't meet the warrantee coverage.   I will have to PAY for inspection by The Mattress Firm, which I find to be insulting considering the price and the fact that it is NOT OUR FAULT that the mattresses are a piece of junk in their design.  DON'T BUY THIS ONE.  There are better mattresses that won't sag.

I bought my Sealy Posturepedic mattress in October as a Christmas gift to myself. My husband and I tend to have chronic backaches, which we contributed to our very old mattress. The Sears saleswoman recommended a firm mattress as I am a stomach sleeper. About a week after our mattress was delivered, we began waking up with absolutely no soreness or back pain. I am very glad that I purchased my Sealy Posturepedic mattress. One bit of advice about the mattress for other consumers: This mattress seems to retain quite a bit of body heat which may make some people uncomfortable. Personally my husband... read full review »

I've been on my Sealy Posturepedic Mattress since fall of 2002, so about 6-1/2 years now. It still feels new and shows no signs of break down. That to me shows value and excellent craftsmanship. I have debilitating arthritis and am in chronic pain. Being able to find comfort and support in a bed is extremely important to me. I have found it in my Queen Size Sealy Posturepedic Mattress that I share with my husband of 18+ years. We both sleep much better. Even in my worst flare-ups my bed offers me the comfort I thought I'd never find. I've not ever been able to sleep so well and comfortably in...

i own a sealy posturepedic have had it for almost 2 years and would never go with any other matttress i love it. I fall asleep very fast on it and stay asleep throughout the night. I have recommended the posturepedic to all of my friends. the only true drawback to it is i don't want to get out of bed when the alarm goes off in the morning. i used to suffer with backpain in the past but since buying my new mattress it has all gone away. I was really surprised when it came to the price it was one of the more affordable mattresses on the market. But i was also very happy that when they delivered the... read full review »

I loved it from the beginning, and it still feels great after a month. I like that it's firm but comfortable, and that it helps with lower back pain. I also have not had any neck discomfort since sleeping on my new mattress.
I recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind spending a little more for a quality product.
