Sealy Pillowtop Mattress Review Summary

Viewpoints reviewers loved the Sealy Pillow Top mattress, with one declaring “I hate waking up for work in the morning and getting out of bed!” Reviewers can’t stop raving about how comfortable the Sealy Pillow Top Mattress is and say “it’s like sleeping on a cloud.” Some of this can be attributed to the silk-wool pillow top. But that’s not all they liked, Viewpoints members felt that this mattress is very affordable. On the negative side, some reviewers felt like the Sealy Pillow Top was great at first, but wore down after about five years. Also, Viewpoints members warn that having to buy extra deep sheets and a mattress pad can add to the price. Want to keep looking? Take a look at our list of best mattresses.

I would recommend this mattress in a heartbeat!  The double pillow top permits you to turn the mattress over and still have a pillow top thereby extending the wear and comfort of it.  While having a "pretty" fabric on the the mattress is not crucial to us, this one has a very attractive and durable...

we used this mattress for about 3 to 4 years.  for the first year it seemed comfortable but then we were waking up with stiff backs.  after 4 years something inside broke and you could hear it rattle around.  then it would also cave in the middle so we would both eventually smash into each other. ... read full review »

We purchased a Sealy pillowtop 7 months ago.  Within 2 weeks I felt an indent where I sleep.  The next month my husband noticed his.

I returned to the place of purchase and was told to sleep in the middle and we would loose them.  We tried that  and turned the bed as well, only to have new indents form.  Sealy will warranty the bed  ONCE it has 1 1/2 inch indents. The warrantee is good  for 10 years too  which is rather nice of them in my opinion.

Well ours are about are in the 1/2 inch range yet feel like 15.   By next year  with luck, they may be in the 1 to 1/2 range. ...

This mattress was a great buy and seemed wonderful at the time as I have back problems and did not have to flip the mattress. You just turn it every few months. As time goes on though your body conforms to this mattress and it is no longer comfortable. My husband and I are currently looking for  a new mattress and will probably not buy a sealy mattress again.

We bought this mattress and it is GREAT!!!  It is like sleeping on a big pillow.  I am interested in comfort...and this has surpassed my expectations.  We purchased this mattress at Sleepy's...and they do this whole body analysis to figure out what mattress is best for your body type.  I liked that...however, my experience with my salesman was pretty irritating.  He was extremely pushy and always led me toward the most expensive mattresses.  I settled for a mid line mattress and it feels great!!

When I finally decided to make the change to a pillow top, it had to be sealy. When it was first delivered and set up. I layed down for a test nap. It was like laying on a sheet full of clouds. For the  next year I got some of the best sleep time I ever had. Every few month I would either spin or flip the matress. In year number two I started to notice that I would wake up in the night feeling like I was laying in a pit. Then I started to notice a hump in the middle of the bed where the box spring set meet.  I tried spinning and flipping again but found impossible to get rid of the hump. I tried...

I love this bed, it is the most comfortable bed I ever slept in.  Sometimes I don't want to leave the bedroom at all!  THe double pillow top aspect is great.  I have the California King, which is huge.  My husband, who is 6 feet tall can sleep on it sideways.  We go in the bedroom to watch television so we can lay on it.  I have had this bed for two years and have not had to flip it.  It keeps its firmness, yet it is soft and comfty.  I would recommend this bed to everyone.  If you have back problems, sleep problems, or any other sleep disorders this bed is the one for you.  I always... read full review »

I bought a Sealy Pillow Top mattress 11 years ago & it is just starting to wear out. I have arthritis & degenerative dick disease so I need a very supportive mattress. This mattress has worked very well for me. I am also raising grandchildren & always have a child or two in the bed with me. The matress I bought is a queen size but I always end up hanging on the edge. Even so I find the Sealy Pillow top matress to be very comfortable & supportive. The mattress was very reasonably priced & I have certainly gotten my money's worth out of it. The only problem I have had is keeping the sheets on. They... read full review »

I bought this mattress over 5 years ago and it is still really comfortable.  Because it has pillow tops on both sides it can be easily flipped and rotated which keeps it from getting wear and tear in one spot.  It does require extra deep sheets and mattress pad which can be a little more expensive, but worth it.  Since I have been sleeping on this mattress I have very little trouble with my back as well.  What is even better is that I was able to get the double bed set for just over $400 on sale, which is a great buy.

When my husband and I started our journey to finding the perfect mattress, I was apprehensive and overwhelmed.  Each store we visited had huge banners proclaiming sale discounts and consumer ratings, all attempting to entice us to check out their merchandise.

With three little children in tow, we manuvered between each mattress lined up like soldiers along the wall.  At first look, they all appear to be the same.  And thats were the similarties ended, although they all were white and looked inviting, each mattress we tested left us feeling anything but refreshed.  Some were so hard we laughed...

For absolute comfort, get this bed.

Regardless of weather, it's cozy.

We sleep peacefully and wake feeling refreshed.

This bed works with the body, allowing pure spinal comfort, and it's cost efficient and worth every dollar.

If you currently have difficulty sleeping, this bed will feel good and I can only speak from experience, yet, this is the best bed I have ever had.

When I'm away from home (traveling), I really miss my bed, it's really comfortable.

I had traumatic / severe injuries in 2003 and when I was able to lay flat, this bed allowed my body to feel comforted.  I had a rock climbing...

My husband and I bought a queen size Sealy pillowtop mattress. It was sooo comfy when we tried it out. We had lived on a boat for 7 years just sleeping on a piece of foam and were excited about a comfy bed. I will be making the last payment in August, but this weekend we are trading our new Sealy for the bed in my parents guest room. This is the MOST uncomfortable bed either one of us has ever slept on. There is a definate hard ridge down the center and we have turned it around every two weeks (can't turn it over since it's a pillowtop) Nothing has worked. I have spent 3 months sleeping on the...

I love sleeping on the mattress, because it is so thick it is hard to find the deeper fitted pocket sheets (it needs the extra deep pockets).  Also, as a shorter person (5 ft) , using it on my bed frame which is average height I now find I need to use a small step stool to get into bed, or leap into bed and take the chance of missing!  However, I do recommend it.
