We purchased a Sealy pillowtop 7 months ago. Within 2 weeks I felt an indent where I sleep. The next month my husband noticed his.
I returned to the place of purchase and was told to sleep in the middle and we would loose them. We tried that and turned the bed as well, only to have new indents form. Sealy will warranty the bed ONCE it has 1 1/2 inch indents. The warrantee is good for 10 years too which is rather nice of them in my opinion.
Well ours are about are in the 1/2 inch range yet feel like 15. By next year with luck, they may be in the 1 to 1/2 range. However, my back is sore every morning now and my husband is up earlier becuase he tosses.....I can't imagine waiting. I do have an almost 1 1/2 inch indents in the upper corner where the mattress pad elastic sits. ( alas that's does not count either )
I have 2 other Sealy pillowtops. (queen size though) Like mine they were one below the top quality because I felt it was a wee bit softer. They are fine, no indents and still very soft and comfortable 3 years after purchase. (we love our teenagers or we would kick them out of their beds and make them sleep in ours).
I think it's sad, the mattress store wont' get credit from sealy therefore can't help me with return although he is very aware this is a problem with my mattress. My issues with are growing since this is a smaller town and we prefer to buy locally.
The Sealy website says " Your body needs a smooth, comfortable sleep surface to get a regenerative nights sleep. Your mattress should enable you to sleep through the night with minimal tossing and turning" Allrighty then --- I am shopping out of town today for a temperpedic memory foam mattress, which in my opinion isn't as comfortable when you first crawl in. Oh well, such is life. Anyone need a $1500 mine field disquised as a very comfortable bed ?
