Most Helpfuli have been buying these for a while, but i think i'm going to look for something new. I find that these do tend to pull a bit of hair out for me as well.
They are also slightly off in size for the width of my ponytail: if I wrap it twice it's too loose and starts falling, but if I wrap it thrice...

Most HelpfulQuick View: I have hair down below my bra strap (mid back) and it makes me crazy. I often pull it back but I don't want damage from metal or too tight bands. I use Scunci Elastic Natrl 18ct but am beginning to think some of my other more hair friendly products are better choices.

review »I have longish length, very thick hair. I love to pull my hair up into a ponytail, but hate losing a large clump when I remove my "ponytail holder". I have been using the Scunci elastic holders for several years now. I f you buy the 18 pack you have plenty of colors to choose from (you really don't have to put anything over it). Each one last a very long time, so it is very affordable.
First let me say, I am thrilled that I still have hair. My Mom, Grandmother and Aunt were all pretty bald by their 40's and 50's. I'm in my 60's and still have hair. Not great hair, not thick hair but hair all the same.I am very grateful.
In my 40's I was still living on the edge hair wise-I'd perm it and color it and yes, I guess abused it. Then I started calculating my family history and realized the odds. I started babying my hair.
I would never use rubber bands when wearing my hair up. I discovered Scunci elastics. I blew it dry with a diffuser. No more perms, no more dye.
I did miss putting...
I am never found without a hair tie on my wrist - no matter the weather or how my hair is on any given day, I am bound to get impatient with it if it is hanging on my shoulders, and I will inevitably put it up in a ponytail before too long. So I've gone through many a hair tie, from losing them, stretching them out, or breaking them.
I tend to buy Scunci hair ties because they're the most reasonably priced metal-less option at my local drugstore. Packs of 18 are ideal for me (I do go through them pretty quickly), and it's nice to have some extras on hand for a more complex hairstyle.

review »Scunci Elastic 18 ct. is a great product. It is "ouchless" because when removing this product it doesn't pull out your hairs. My hair is fine/thin so it has been hard for me to find a product that I enjoy that doesn't pull or damage my hairs. This product has proven to be a product that works and does the job. It is affordable, and easy to find because it is carried in many stores. Drug Stores, Mass Retailers, and Grocery stores all carry this product. From time to time you may find a coupon which makes it even more affordable. The everyday price is affordable itself. It comes in many different...
review »Our eight year old grandchild has the thickest hair of any child. Her thick and long hair is put up every day, before school and when she comes home, taking it out has always been a chore. Her mom, my daughter, remembers vividly me doing the same with her hair, and it not being a pleasant experience. While shopping at the local Target, we came across these ponytail holders and it has made getting ready for school and taking out the pony tail at the end of the day, a more pleasant experience. Now, she still cries every now and then, but I think it is for effect now. I strongle recommend these, they...
