After noticing the new Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Shower Foamer advertised in several sale ads, I decided I wanted to be one of the first people to try it. I would even venture to say that I was actually excited about cleaning my bathtub! Well that joy was short-lived.
For all of the hype of Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Shower Foamer, I wasn't impressed for several reasons:
* The regular $4.19 price tag is higher than I'm usually willing to pay. Fortunately, I found it on sale and also had a coupon so I got it for a little less than $2.
* The strong odor was overwhelming. Even with the bathroom window open, my house had a chemical smell for well over an hour.
* I used almost half of the can on one application (maybe the reason for the strong smell throughout my house?). The can states that it has a "wide spray coverage" but I still had to use a lot of it to cover the tiled walls and ceramic tub.
* This product states that "scrubbing is virtually obsolete" but I didn't find that to be true. I had to use some elbow grease to remove some of the mildew spots.
I have used the regular Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner several times and was satisfied with the results. It still has the same strong odor and requires the same amount of elbow grease as the Scrubbing Bubbles Mega Shower Foamer, but it also has a lower price tag and I use less of it per application. I will stick with what I am used to and will pass on the Mega Shower Foamer the next time I hit the cleaning products aisle.
