The Case

I had never really contemplated buying a travel-size edition of Scrabble before - to be honest, I didn't even know that they made a travel-size edition of Scrabble - but when I saw the Scrabble Game Folio, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity of owning my favorite game in compact, travel-friendly form.  Since that time, my miniature Scrabble set has accompanied me on many a trip and caused me no grief at all. 

It's simply D-E-L-I-G-H-T-F-U-L!

The Good

A necessity for any travel-size game is that it's not too big or bulky, and the Scrabble Folio definitely gets flying colors on that...

I received this version of the Scrabble Travel Edition Portfolio during a Christmas gift exchange. It is a good size for gameplay; it doesn't feel like it is too small. The plastic letter tiles lock into the board, making it easy to put away and come back to later if something intterupts your game. The only downside is that the pieces slide out easily from the holders. The holders lock into the bottom of the board if you are saving it and you don't have to show everyone your letter tiles in the process. Scrabble is a classic game and it is always good to have this board game around for rainy days...
