In cleaning duties there are many instances where a sponge will come in handy, and I think that these are a great option when it comes to both kitchen and bathroom cleaning. The bottom line is that every knock off of this sponge were awful and I suggest anyone to steer away from them because the dyes sometimes can transfer onto whatever it is you are trying to clean, they have all fallen apart, some so quickly that I couldn't get through a small job with it. They don't last as long, and they are very harsh or useless on your stuff. I love the fact that it's easy to clean as well, just toss it into the dishwasher to steralize it. These Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponges are the ONLY thing that will clean our bathtub. My wife and I live in an older (rental) home and the bathtub is very porous. It is very hard to scrub soap scum and mildew on such a rough surface but these sponges cut right through it, without scratching the tub.
