When I first took in my two cats, I tried many different litters. None of them clumped the pee, they just stuck to the poop like flour on dough but did not really serve any real scooping purpose. Scoop Away clumps the pee for easy scooping, and leaves the rest of the litter virtually clean and ready for more duty.
My cats dont always cover thier poops with the litter but when they do bury it there is no smell. The only complaints I have is that it is fairly pricey and unlike other cat litter brands, they do not put coupons in the paper. But I've tried to switch to save a little money and my cats werent having it, they pooped outside the litter box to tell me they want it switched back. So I guess even cats prefer Scoop Away!
