I'll tell you up front, I like Toyotas. We've had a Corolla for 5 years, and another before that, and try to rent Camrys on vacation. They're both comfortable cars, fun to drive, and the Corolla has saved us a pile of money in gas expense. So when our business's...
Most HelpfulI TRADED IN A HUGE FORD MINIVAN FOR THE NEWLY UPDATED 2008 SCION XB. I WAS LOOKING FOR GOOD MILEAGE, A REASONABLE PRICE, AND ACCOMODATION FOR A 6 FOOT DRIVER! I FOUND ALL THIS AND MORE. THE NEW BODY STYLE IS ROUNDER, CUTER THAN THE PREVIOUS SO IT'S A FUN LOOK. THE NEW ENGINE, THE SAME AS IN A TOYOTA CAMRY, GETS AN AVERAGE OF 28 MPG IN THE CITY. IT HANDLES WELL, HAS SUPERB VISIBILITY, AND HOLDS A TON OF CARGO WITH SPLIT REAR FOLDING SEATS. I CAN EVEN SIT IN THE BACK SEAT WITH PLENTY OF LEG ROOM. IN 2 YEARS THE ONLY MONEY I'VE SPENT ON THIS CAR IS FOR GAS. THE ONLY CON ABOUT THIS...
read full review »After researchig the other vehicles (Element, Xterra, HHR), I do believe I made the best purchase of my adult life. The speed, space, price and comfort is awesome. I am 6' 5" and 340 lbs, and the car is so comfortable for me and my family. The mileage is 24 mpg on the street and 28 on the HWY. The speed is smoove and quick, no jerking in the transition of the gears. The aerodynamics on the 2008 is alot better than previous years. The 2nd row is so roomy, I fit back there with ease. I highly recommend this car.

My Scion xB is great for daily driving, grocery shopping, and roomy enough for my English Mastiff to go along. The headroom is incredible and the fold down seats make adding/configuring space a breeze. Economical for long trips, but the best part is how it maneuvers in traffic and the ease of parking.
