Seat Design Makes Airdyne Non-Functional
This equipment is not functional for me and potentially unsafe due to the saddle/seat design. It is very difficult to adjust the seat, the seat tilt, and keep adjustments in place during even one workout. In addition, the very large width of the seat and the saddle nose makes it impossible for my body to track properly while cycling. When I try cycling and incorporating arms, I can't maintain a neutral position along my back on top of the inappropriate position my body is in due to the seat. When I contacted customer service, I was told there was no alternative smaller saddle for these fitness bicycles based on my size that I could purchase from them. They said it was up to me to switch out the seat but that would cause the warranty to be null and void. I have a seat and guts to make the switch, but I still have to deal with the angle of the seat post to the seat itself that doesn't keep any adjustment in place for even one workout even with the original seat. And, the toggle for the height adjustment doesn't stay tight either. Overall, disappointing as I have previously enjoyed using the much older version of Airdynes.
