Most HelpfulI had never heard of Schwan's Home Service, Inc. until we moved to our current home just over two years ago. One day I heard a knock at my door (unfortunately, it wasn't Ed McMahon with a million dollar check) and that's when I was greeted by a friendly representative from Schwan's.

Most HelpfulOn August 4, 2009 I placed an internet order with Schwan's home delivery service, thus setting up a bi-weekly delivery service. I signed up with a new customer promotion, allowing me $10 in free products. They will not even give an approximate time for delivery, so I waited at my home ALL day on...
review »Our rep is really a good guy. But way overworked. They seem to have the same guy delivering to all of Northern Arizona. And I can't even begin to describe how downhill product has gone over the last fews years. Schwan's is not restaurant quality for any restaurant I would eat at!
The final straws for me were when they discontinued the Mississippi Mud ice cream bars and Mint Chip Ice Cream, replacing the mint chip ice cream with mint chip cones. Totally retarded!!! As for the plain vanilla ice cream bars, you might as well eat the box - they have no flavor whatsoever.

review »I have been getting Shwans home service now for about 15 years. My children loved all the different ice cream treats that they sold and I think we tried them all. I think the meat is a bit over priced though so I haven't tried anything but the chicken strips and popcorn chicken which both tasted excellent.
After my children were grown I didn't buy as much from Shwans until they started selling more meal kits and actually have recipes in their catalogs now so they have given me some great ideas to use their products.
The sales representative is reliable and helpful and other new feature that I...
review »When we use to have Schwans home delery the did not want to come when I was home . Since I work full time they did not want to work around my schedual, even when I would see them in the neighborhood when I was home. We enjoyed the food but it was quite pricey. I remember when I was growing up they use to come to my parents house and we would get ice cream from them but my mom and dad were usually home when they came because we lived on a farm. I have noticed them around town selling out of their trucks in parking lots but have not had the oppertunity to check them out when I go by. I think Schwans...
review »They accept food stamps with a $1 delivery fee. Schwan's has been a customer for my dad and stepmother. They now have me. First timers can join online and get $10 free towards first order.
Schwans is not super cheap but if you want good food and the convienence of home delivery with great customer service they are the way to go.
