The choice to return to College was not an easy one for me. I have a full-time business that keeps me busy 55 hours a week, two children, a husband and no extra time. So, when I finally decided it's now or never, the question was "How am I going to do this?".
Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan was the answer I was looking for.
After meeting with and Advisor at the College. I found the classes that fit into my hectic schedule and learned there is even a smaller campus in my town! The Radcliff Center, the smaller campus, has a bookstore, library and cafeteria so I don't have to drive across town for things I may need from the larger campus. Since it's so much smaller, it's very easy to park and there's not long lines to wait in.
Schoolcraft now offers a variety of Associates and Bachelors Degrees in many areas. Unfortunately for me, they don't for my particular degree. So I will be transferring out next year. The Advisor helped me to pick the courses I needed for the transfer so that all my credits would transfer, as well. I learned that lesson the hard way when some credits from another College were untransferable. How disheartening is that? You spend all that money and time and in the end, it's for nothing. I had to retake the classes.
My absolute favorite feature of SchoolCraft College is the availability of classes. The Course Schedule was a dream come true for a busy. working Mom. Classes are available during all times of the day on both campuses. It was easy to find the class I needed at a time that worked for me.
Not to mention my new passion, online courses!! Online courses are made for me! I was a little nervous at first but it was very easy to find where I needed to go from the Schoolcraft Website. I check in every day. I can do the work whenever it's convenient for me, as long as it's turned in by the deadline. There's no drive time, gas price worry, sitting in a stuffy, packed classroom, etc. I just sit down and do the work when I have the time. Perfect!
Everything you need to know about SchoolCraft College is on their website. You can register for classes, apply for financial aid, view the course schedule and so much more.
With all that SchoolCraft College offers, my goal is in sight!
