I have a huge nine inch scar on my residual limb from when my leg was amputated. When I go swimming or have my prosthetic off it is extremely noticeable and it bothers me. Even though my leg was amputated five years ago this is one aspect of it that I still haven't gotten used to or fully accepted. There is a lot of scar tissue under the actual scar and that's something that a scar treatment product is not going to be able to get rid of. The Silicone Scar Tissues are easy to use and apply to the skin; since the scar I was treating with this product is long and thin I was able to cut the sheets in half length wise and use them on the scar when I had my prosthetic and silicone sleeve off. I usually used them at night before I would go to bed so that I could have the sheets on the scar for five or six hours at a time. They can be used for up to one week before you will need to use a fresh sheet. You get a small storage case with the sheets so that you can store them so they are clean and free of dust and lint when you go to reapply them. After using them for a month I did see the scar lighten in color but it wasn't completely gone. I bought another box and used it for another month but it wasn't able to completely get rid of the scar. For smaller scars I am sure this product works more effectively than for something like a deep scar from an amputation. I would recommend this product to people who have fresh scars or scars that have not darkened. You can't use this on a scar that is still in the healing process; if there is a scab or any leakage from it the product will not work. There's no pain or tingling when using this on scars; the adhesive doesn't pull or yank on skin when you are removing it. You should remove it when you are taking a shower, swimming or if you are going to the gym because if you start sweating the sheet will start to lose its ability to stick to the skin. Effectiveness I'd recommend this to people with fresh scars.

So just like most people that have scars on their face I went out to try and find products that would possibly help diminish the scars appearance, and color. I stumbled upon this product and thought I should give it a try since the worst thing that could happen was they do not work. And well, it was a worst case scenario. My scars are atrophic meaning they are pitted, indented instead of raised (hypertrophic). I was hoping that this would help renew the underlying layers of collagen or help boost new collagen production, it did neither. As far as the color change goes, I am not sure how much of this was because of the product and how much of it was just because of time, but there was not a huge significant change in the color. Effectiveness For me it was not very effective, maybe if the scars were new, or were hypertrophic it might be a different story. But for my scars this did nothing to help them. Ease of Application The product is very easy to apply. Side Effects I did not notice any adverse side effects.

I had back surgery oh, about 20 years ago. I have a raised scar down my back, from the neck to my tailbone. Back in the day, they didn't make such product so when I learned about ScarAway Silicone Scar Sheets, I thought I'd give it a try. It didn't really work for me, but probably because my scar is so old. Effectiveness As mentioned previously, my scar is pretty big and runs down my entire back. Plus it is about 20 years old so this product wasn't effective on me. Ease of Application Easy to apply. Just stick it on! It's not super sticky like a band-aid. The only thing is, it started to peel off a little after awhile. Convenience It's very convenient because you just peel and stick. Cut it into smaller strips, depending on the size of the scar. Side Effects None that I am aware of. I would say it's worth a try. Silicone is safe and there are no known added chemicals in the product. Immediacy I tried the product for two weeks and didn't see any visible changes. Perhaps it may work with long-term use, but short term, I did not see any results.

I have never really healed well. My knees still bear scars from when I was a kid. Small scratches that should have healed up always left a line on me. As an adult I've had some moles removed on my back. After the second time around my doctor recommended this product. As soon as my stitches were out I started applying the product. I also applied it to some scars from my previous surgery that were about two years old. The old scars were slightly raised and a little purple in color. I cut the silicone sheets to the size of my scar. This gave me a little more use out of each sheet. I also used an extra piece of tape over each scar to hold the sheet in place. I wore it for about three months. The most recent scar is only a little pink. My old scars are also a little pink and no longer raised. I'm really happy with the results. This is definitely worth trying. Be sure to give it time to work. It will take weeks if not months for some scars.

It worked alright, but I wasn't completely dedicated to it, so it may have worked better had I stuck with it. I'm also not sure if my scars faded due to natural healing or if these really worked! Effectiveness For the amount of time that I used the product, it seemed to have worked moderately well, however, I am very critical of results, especially when it comes to my skin, so I can only give this product a six when it comes to effectiveness even though it may have been due to my own fault that it didn't work to it's full potential. My scars are still noticeable, and it's hard to say whether or not they faded on their own time, or if this product sped up the process because all scars seem to heal differently. Ease of Application These strips are fairly easy to apply to the skin. They can get stuck to the fingers on occasion, but it's nothing major. The most annoying part is the very opposite of the application, rather, the removal. It's not so much as taking the product off of the skin as it is cleaning/washing it, then sticking it back on the clear plastic strips to dry. Still, the application on it's own is pretty simple. Convenience These strips are not very convenient. It is annoying to constantly put them on and take them off and put fresh ones on every morning and night. I suppose it's worth it, but it proves to be a nuisance. Side Effects I did not experience any side effects with this product! (: Immediacy I did see results from this product pretty quickly, or so I thought. As I said before, it's hard to tell if the scars were just fading on their own (they were fairly new) or if it was really the product working it's magic. The fact that I am unsure is the reason I only gave it a 7. Either way, it appeared as if it helped, so I would definitely recommend giving it a shot.

I used this product a while back for some unsightly scars that I wanted to disappear. I wasn't very dedicated to using the product, but I used the strips for about 10 weeks. I can't say for sure that they worked and that the result wasn't just the scars continuing to heal on their own, but they have definitely faded over time, whether it be due to the product or just natural healing from my body. I would definitely recommend trying this product and seeing if it works for you because it's possible that it's what helped me.

The scar away sheets at first seemed very efficient. Taken that there's silicone in it, which I heard helped with healing scars. I was recommended this product by a pharmacist in a local CVS. I thought this product was very durable since there is no waiting time to dry as you would with the gel. Just pat one on your scar and you're good to go for the day! On my first month of trying this product, whenever I wear pants over the sheet, it really irritated and itched my skin. It was such a pain to use this product. It was less helpful then I thought it would be. I stopped using the scar away gel sheets and stuck to the gel or cream one instead. The sheets just seemed too much of a hassle for me to keep using it. The scar sheets made no changes to my scar whatsoever. I continue to use more natural products that actually helped fade my scar. This product may work for others, but it certainly did not work for me.

Clever product. This product works really well and as directed. I love the fact that the bandages have the embedded silicone in it. Because of the fact that it takes a while, usually around 3 months for it to work. By creating a banadage, it allows you to constantly apply it over a period of time so that you get a benefit itself. It even comes with a 3 month supply. The scars fade over time and it helps with stretch marks too. You can see a difference if you take photos and compare at intervals. You need to wash the strip daily and try it completely then reapply. Otherwise, it will take a long time for the strips to dry. The adhesive works well and is able to stick to my lower back area. But you must the wear time of 3 months to notice an effect Immediacy Does not work fast. It takes 3 months for this product to work. You must apply on a daily basis. If you can get only a week, then do not buy this product as it is not worth it.

I used to have horrible acne during highschool and I scratched and scratched them. I knew it was horrible for a skin, but I couldn't stop. In CEGEP (Collège d'enseignement général et professionnel, post-secondary college in Quebec), my face was simply COVERED in scars, it was horrible, I had huge body image problem, I was going through depression - not a happy moment of my life. My doctor recommended ScarAway, saying he saw great things from it... I can't express how much that moment changed my life. Effectiveness The scars are almost invisible, only I can see them - and that's because I can press my face against the mirror! Ease of Application Extremely simple, I had absolutely no difficulties putting them on. Just like band-aids!, my doctor said! Very funny guy, always cracking jokes. Convenience As said above, it was really simple and I didn't have to walk around with huge band-aids on my face at school. Side Effects There were no side-affects that I remember of, other than a bit of coughing - but I doubt that was caused by ScarAway, but my doctor couldn't say for sure.

I got scar away because i have hundreds of scars from self harm. I've tried creams and oils but none work that well or very fast. Scar away is silicone pads that you use for weeks at a time. I noticed that right away they made the scars smoother and less pink. These you just put on and leave on until the next day, take off, wash, then put back on. You can just put them on and forget it. I've used up to five at a time. Oils are very annoying because you have to rub it in then it still feels oily after, and creams are the same but leave you sticky. This has absolutely no mess, and if you want you can have them on for longer than what they say, until they stop sticking completely. The only bad thing is it is pretty pricey, but less so than laser removal or if you keep buying oil all the time. Whether you have one scar or tons of scars you want to get rid of, you should buy this instead of all the other popular ones.
