When both my kids were born we decided we didn't want to use pacifiers, but after spending weeks in the hosipital with both, we found that even the hospital used pacifiers.  The pacifier turned into a comfort for the little ones and ended up being named a tutu (don't ask), We loved the Mams because even when they were teething, with all the drool running down their face, the easy breathing of the Mam helped to keep breakouts at bay on their little faces.
