*******my review******
This is my first digital so nothing to compare it to BUT knowing what i wanted from a camera this is what i found out:
PROS
it has digital anti blur for us with shaky hands!
its own rechargeable battery(unless you like going thru "AA"batteries like water or carrying around a bunch of rechargeable go with a camera with own battery)
i played with functions on other cameras on display and this one is easier to delete pictures it has a separate clearly marked button for it.options to lock photos so you dont delete them on accident.
at first glance the options and manual seems confusing but was pleasanlty surprised how easy it was to figure out!
Its attractive and comes with a matching carrying pouch.
its affordable, i paid about a 119.00 wich is about the cheapest for a camera with a rechargable.
you have a choice to shoot in image resolutions of vga,2m,5m,3m,2m and differnt image quality to save storage space on memory. i shot at 2m and still got a good pic, the higher pixals may be what causes some of the red pixels showing up in places that should be black( i mention this under cons)
i shot a pic in the dark and i didn't get that circular light halo you get with regular cameras from the flash
the auto button is good enough to take pics how you want them to come out.
it has a portrait option with face recognition
comes with basic corel photo editing software(that program isnt very good though but better than nothing i guess)
has macro for up close detail shots
took over 200 photos before needing to recharge battery
It records video and sound and a micro phone for just recording sound
----------------------
CONS:
its flat square shape and shiny metal around the outside makes it become easily slippery in your hand but it comes with a wrist strap and i advise using it.
shutter time is slow..don't expect to sneak up on someone and get that shot you want, they have time to duck.
some shots need tweaking to get them to come out the way you want particularly for detail on close up shots because the auto feature wont handle it.
focus using zoom is dissapointing and dosnt go far(its only 3x after all)
only holds about 10 pictures using regular memory so a memory stick is a must.(i bought a 1 gig at walmart for less than 12.00 and i have 200 photos on best quality 8m and its still not full. :) )
IN SUMMARY: let pictures speak for them self, To many to upload here. these are ones i was taking the 2nd day i got it. it may take time to load sorry.notice the pic"this is the one"

notice the pics i took of my cactus, i was doing it on a gray rainy day so i was tweaking settings..tip..use the ev compensation until you get what you want and the funny thing is, when you use this setting, the image in the image display looks awful but the pic looks different when you take it,so you have to adjust levels and shoot to see what you get.I keep adding more pics and all of them are from this same camera, i hope this helps
