Was a cool phone when I first bought it

4

When this phone came out I thought I just have to have that phone. I loved the fact that the front screen was a mirror and you didn't have to open the phone to dial. Seemed pretty cool to me with the computer looking mini keypad. But, they outer keypad always freezes so it's kind of like an extra addition to the phone just for show. Since it doesn't work to well. I did like texting on this phone though since it had such a wide keypad it was real easy to text on. Call quality wasn't that good a little hard to hear on. I also liked the fact that the front panel lights up when closed and when you get notifications to. Would recommend purchasing only for a starter phone or if you just like to text. Performance The keypad freezes a lot. Voice Quality Sometimes hard to hear Battery Life battery doesn't last long. Design I really like the mirror and the design on this phone , but it's bulky and feels cheap. The mirror gets scratched up very easily.

Say No to the Sanyo Incognito

2

The Sanyo Incognito is a decent phone that I would never recommend to another person. It is adequate enough as a phone, and its full Qwerty keyboard makes texting as easy as it can be. Yet the phone crashes, and often is locked up due to text messages. I shouldn't know I'm getting a text fifteen seconds before I get one and not be able to do anything during this time. The phone's most positive feature is its appearance as it can be a handsome phone. However, that is the nicest thing I have to say about it. The feature that gives this phone the streamlined look that caught my eye is the backlit touch pad on the face of the phone. This feature seems responsive or at least did while I was using it in the store but after daily usage turns out to be more of a hassle than a complimentary function. Accepting calls and ending calls can sometimes be a struggle as can pinpointing the exact contact one wishes to call. Which was a real surprise seeing as I have never had an issue with this when utilizing any other touch device. This phone only outshines my four year old phone in two ways it is easier to text from and has a longer battery life because I haven't used it for four years. This is a no brainer, stay away from this phone.

incognito is not a good phone

this phone is not worth the money i spent. yea it looks nice but once you get it, it starts givin you problems from day one. the front of the phone is touch screen and very hard to work. the web on this phone doesnt work too good. the phone freezes alot an turns off out of no where. it erases all of your information too. i was really excited when i got it but now i regret it but cant do anything about it. this whole phone is too complicated too work an the screen cracks really easy.the keys come off very quickly which is not cool because you need the keys for everythin, to type and to make calls. this phone doesnt have alot of applications basically only facebook and myspace. the only thing i like about this phone would have to be the appearance they made this look very nice an easy to work but its really not. and another thing that i hated was that i had to format my memory csrd to fit this phone. that meant erasing all of my pictures and music ! it really sucked!

Keep shopping, don't waste your money

I have had this phone for about 3 months. I ordered it through Sprint on the phone and they mailed it to me, so I didn't get to try it out at a store, and if I would've been able to, I would've purchased something else. The keypad on the front is worthless. The numbers rarely dial correctly, so I am forced to open the phone for every call and make the calls that way. If I am able to answer the phone on the top without opening it, I have to be sure to remember to relock the keypad, or the phone against your face will hang up on the person you are speaking with. It is also sometimes difficult to hear on, if you don't have it placed exactly on your ear. This is a slim, phone, which is nice, as it fits in pockets. It is sleek and modern, but none of that is really worth how inconvenient it is. I have noticed that it does not get hot when used for a long time, as previous phones of mine in the past have.

Not as great as it looks.

I've had the Sanyo Incognito for just under a year and have grown increasingly more disappointed in this phone as time has gone on.  I'm already wishing I could get different one. The phone looks sharp.  It's smaller and more slim than others, fits great in a pocket and isn't cumbersome when worn on the belt.  I originally chose this phone because it had all the options I wanted....a touch screen front, a full keyboard, camera, and gps/internet capabilities. The touch screen though is difficult to use.  It will regularly not register the number after it's touched, pressing it harder results in the phone doubling it up...it's almost not worth the effort and I've found myself avoiding it completely.   Additionally, I'm more of a texter than a talker and have found that when multiple text messages are coming in the phone will just freeze up.  I am regularly removing the battery just to reload the phone.  It's very inconvenient and annoying.   As other folks have complained about, the camera is also worthless.  No zoom features and I have yet to figure out how to shut off the camera sounds so that it's silent when a photo is taken.  I find it hard to believe that it can't be done, but even with the user guide in hand, I have been unsuccessful in finding it. Overall I wouldn't recommend this phone. It looks great, but just isn't worth the hassle.

Quality phone for a cheap price.

The Sanyo Icognito is a great, cheap phone anyone could use. If you were looking for a nice phone with plenty of features like a navagation system, a media player, internet capable, kind of phone, Then the Icognito is for you. I've used the Icognito now for about 2-3 years and its been working great. I've dropped it plenty of times and the durability of my opinoin is just amazing. Although it could have a little lag here and there, but the price for the phone makes up for it. I got my Icognito through Sprint and it also came with a TV feature as well. Standard camera, camera recorder, bluetooth, voice activation features all included as well. the front touch pad is pretty cool looking, but it can be laggy at times and unresponsive at the first touch. In my opinoin this would be a great "upgrade" phone for you son/daughter or whatever which you choose for a decent price. The battery life-time is about a week max if not used/opend every 5 seconds. If you get this for you text-savvy teenager than it probably would not last more than 2 days from the opening and closing so often.

this cell phone is the coolest looking cell phone i ever had

i ordered this cell phone the (sprint sanyo ingognito) online directly from sprint. now when i received it (via)  ups shipped to my door i really liked the way it looked and its real easy to text messages and you can send and recieve text messages really fast within a few seconds. and i like hoe if you want too you can use the front of the cell phone by pressing this button on the side of it. and the reception seems to be great! i just dont like the size of the camera and camcorder when you take pictures and record stuff the screen is not as big as the actual screen on the cell phone itself for some strange reason and it has a really small earpiece on the front of the phone that you cant hear people to good on it so i have to use speaker phone most of the time when i call people on it. and the location of the camera on the phone also sucks i think the camera should be in the middle of that type of cell phone. but its a normal good size cell phone that fits in most peoples pockets pretty easily. i do love the way the keyboard is on it because it makes it look like a really tiny laptop computer its so cute! lol. but i would definatley recommend this cell phone to anyone because it looks great! for its design and it has many features on it that some cell phones dont like gps navigation to help you with driving directions and stuff.and it also has great! sounding ringtones already programmed in it about 20 to choose from. it also holds charge pretty long even when its low on battery charge. so if i were you i would definatley  buy this cell phone in a heartbeat.

I don't recommend!

This a very pretty phone but its not what it is cut out to be. The touchscreen on the front only works sometimes. The screen scratches very easily. They keyboards key get very stick and sometimes are hard to press. The facebook application only works for a couple of months. I had to download a new app just get on face for my phone. The boost mobile ringtones sound horrible on this phone. It hard to find a memory card for it. It also freezes up alot. You have to take the battery out and put it back in, just so the phone can work properly, but on the other hand the volume is very loud. It comes in handy for your alarm when you have to wake up early in the morning for school or for work. The screen is very clear, and it downloads things very fast. It has alot of memory space without have a memory card. It's durable because I have dropped it plenty of times, but other than that I wouldn't recommend it.

Problematic but good looking phone.

This phone looks great and has the "ability" to do some good things.  This phone is great for a person that has just a few texts a day.  But for avid texters who may get more than one text at a time it is really annoying because the phone freezes.  You have to drop the battery and turn it back on in order to read your texts after it freezes. But it serves the purpose as a PHONE. Just remember to lock the front keyboard after you dial or you may end up having to redial.
