Sanyo - Xacti VPC-S60 Digital Camera —
I actually have the Sanyo VPC S880. This camera takes pretty good pictures, but the color seems to be a little off. It's like the flash is too bright or something. Things kind of looked washed out. I never tried it outside, I'm sure it would take great pictures in sunlight.It has a large viewing screen, that's pretty nice. It has some neat features, like you can remove redeye on the camera, you don't have to put them on a computer and edit them. The menus are easy to follow.
It has a date stamp, which I absolutely require in a camera. It's a light blue, though, and rather large. The color makes it hard to see sometimes. Also the font of the date makes it hard to differentiate numbers sometimes.
It has so many settings it's hard to know which ones are best. If you leave everything on auto, it does allright. The pictures blur pretty easy, I guess it's the slow shutter speed. It goes up to 8 megapixels, but even on the highest setting the pictures just didn't look right to me. It takes pretty good video, not like a camcorder, but pretty good. Definitely better than my other digital camera.
I wound up buying another camera like the one that broke on ebay 3 weeks after playing with the Sanyo trying to get pictures I liked. If I had had the receipt I would have taken it back, but it wasn't that expensive so I didn't cry too much. It doesn't hurt to have 2 cameras anyway.
