I recently upgraded my phone and I'm loving it! I love all the extra features this phone carries.  It's like having a computer at the palm of my hand.  I can check my email, the weather, and movie times without calling the theater.  It's light and slim and attractive looking. I love the screen on the phone and the clarity it has.

The phone is quite ugly. I got it because it had the most features for my plan and price range (seeing as Sprint denies my type of plan most of their phones). I got it in gray. One of the worst things about the phone is that everything is tiny...all of the text and the screens are super super small. Other than that, the features are pretty standard and have average functionality. Speaker phone is pretty bad. Btut the phone was pretty hot stuff for the time though, so I'm probably complaining too much. This phone, as does my other Sanyo Katana, shuts down spontaneously. The reason I got my new Katana was that one fine day I was texting and it shut itself off forever. It was sad, because it was a pretty faithful phone, and I liked it better than the Eclipse I have now. Anyway, it got the job done. Call quality was good, it didn't really drop calls, it didn't eat into my wallet, so I couldn't really ask for more.

I purchased my Sanyo Katana DLX last November - downgrading from a Treo 650. While I do miss the full keyboard in the few instances where I'm texting messages, downgrading my phone was an excellent decision (and a money saver!), as I found that I rarely find a NEED for having instant web access on my mobile, and frankly, when I did have web access, it was fairly slow. I have always received great customer service from Sprint, and as a result, I'm a loyal customer, though I am often disappointed by their selection of phones - particularly the pda style phones - as they are frequently sub-par compared to the competition. However, I have been exceedingly happy with my Katana, which I use for phone calls, occasional texting, and occasional calendar reminders. The phone itself doesn't come with a great selection of ringtones, and it isn't mp3 compatible (nor does it come with a computer cable to jack in and transfer like a pda phone would), but I have used www.phonezoo.com to supplement my ringtone selection. The only downside to this is that you do use some internet usage when you do this, but it's minimal (if you have the Vision Pack for the internet service, it doesn't cost you extra, it's only an extra charge if you don't have this added - and I've still never spent more than the vision pack itself would've cost me). I highly recommend this phone to users who are looking for a basic phone to do what a phone's supposed to do - make and receive phone calls.

The Sanyo Katana DLX has been a great phone. I have used it for one year now. The style is a flip phone. There is a small outer screen and a main inner screen. The color/graphics are pleasing, bright and sharp. There are functions included such as tv, on demand-weather, movies, sports, stocks, etc. , calendar, stopwatch, camera, calculator, address book, pretty much the basics of today's phones. You can insert a mini sd card to hold more pictures, music, or video. Very handy. I use the text features and all these things are easy to use and easy to navigate. The phone comes in a silver color, or gold or pink. All metallic tones. There is a jack for an ear piece, also uses bluetooth. Slim enough design to fit easily in a pocket or purse. Lots of ringer options and sound controls. Also has the option of vibrating tone. The battery lasts well for basic calls, but if you use the tv or web much, the battery needs recharging more often. The tv really sucks the battery low.

I love aevery Sanyo phone that I have had. I am a single mother and I dont have much money but I did save up just so that I could by this phone. I lost my eye sight when my other phone stoped working and it took me a few months after surgery to save up to buy this phone. The reason that I like sanyo is because I am hard on my phones and my last phone got beat up and still worked. The one before that one was my first flip phone and it literaly was hanging on by a string and it still work. Sanyo makes the best phone that with stand a lot and they come with cool additives. my friend was mad because he bought his phone (I will not say the name just know it is not Sanyo) and the price has dropped and he is having problems with it already. He has had his phone for six months. My phone came out last year and the price still has not dropped and I have had it for two months and so far no problems. I ended up getting a pink phone because that was the only color any store had left. The phone I have is the Sanyo Katana DLX.

This is a great phone. I got it when my first Katana FINALLY bit the dust. It is GREAT. Very user friendly, very easy to navigate and use. The ringtones weren't the greatest and i have a little bit of trouble with the email feature, but overall it is a GREAT buy!

Everybody Knows or should know that Sanyo makes the best cellphones for sprint. They have superior durability, battery life, and call quality. This being said The KATANA DLX is the king for Sanyo right now. This is a feature rich phone for the Non business person that is guaranteed to please. The only draw back to this phone is not one when compared to other phones. Sanyo makes the best speaker phones and while this one has a decent one it is not the superior quality usually expected from Sanyo.
