I just finished watching The Santa Clause for about the 50th time. I've been watching this movie since it first came out back in 1994 when I was still in grade school. Something about this movie puts me into the holiday spirit more than almost any other Christmas movie so check your listings right now to see if it's playing again... or rent it!!
Minor Plot Details
Scott Calvin isn't the greatest dad. He is divorced and his son, Charlie, doesn't really want to stay for him for Christmas. His wife's new husband is a psychatrist who told Charlie that Santa doesn't exist. Scott is mad about...
I've always liked Tim Allen since I watched him on Home Improvement! When I saw he was going to be in The Santa Cluse, and Santa Cluse 2, I already knew he would do a good job, because he is a VERY good actor. He may be more of a comedian, but he can also be a dramatic actor if he wants to be. Those are the kind of actors I like to see
Anyways, back to the movie. It was very amusing to see Scott Calvin go through the changes of becoming Santa Clause. He didn't know what to do about it, and it was funny when he was trying to prevent it!
Good outline of the story, and it was interesting how he became...
review »This movie is perfect for the entire family. My family enjoys this movie all year round not just around the holiday. We have seen all of the santa clause, but santa clause 1 has to be my favorite. This movie inspired me to tell my chidren their father was santa claus, they really took it and ran, i told them that explains how santa knows what they want, and if they have been naughty or nice, and i told them that santa has his eyes on them all year round...lol This movie i'm sure all children of all ages can enjoy this movie.
The Santa Clause DVD is the first in the storyline, and in my opinion, the best. I love to watch this movie to get into the season's festivities.
Tim Allen portrays a regular guy who doesn't buy into all of the seasonal hype about Santa Clause and Christmas until he has a close encounter with the big guy himself. Elves, reindeer, and a couple trips to the North Pole all keep you rooting for the guy who doesn't know he's santa, while real life and personal doubt keeps kids wondering if Santa will pull through on Christmas Eve.
What I liked about this movie, other than the humor,...
review »The Santa Clause is clever and original. Tim Allen is very charming he is Santa Clause! Through the entire movie you feel like things make sense and answers those tough questions that kids ask. I really could have used it when my Kids were younger.
Whether you belive in Santa or not you can enjoy this film. When I sat my parents down to watch it for the first time, I laughed so hard because they enjoyed it so much. There are jokes that kids will get but also ones that the adults get. What a good combination for a great comedy
It just makes you feel good and gets you into the Holliday season....
review »The Santa Claus is by far the best Christmas movie ever. I love Tim Allen and this movie is just so cute and funny, that it is a must see. It makes even non believers in Santa believe anything is possible. Through out the movie Charlie believes his dad is Santa, but Santa doesn't believe he is Santa. He puts on all kinds of weight, goes to the doctor and his heart is beating to a Christmas tune. He finally accepts his fate and must convince others he's the real deal. It's about a fathers love for his son and the sacrifices he will go to for him. Love this movie.
