Sanford Brown College Review

    For the past year it has been one bad thing after another going on in my life. My fiance left me, my children were taken from my home by the state, and to top it all off my little brother passed away from a heroin overdose... in my home. I bottomed out when that happened. I didn't see the point of going on with life because it can seem so pointless to always be failing in life. In the midst of my depression my mom was desperate to find something that I could be involved enough in to get out of my misery. She drug me to Sanford Brown College and took the tour with me. To see her jumping around and getting excited for me to do this I kind of felt obligated to give it a try.

    From day one this has been one of the best choices I've ever made (or my mom has made for me?) This is a college that deals almost exculsively with older returning students who have a lot more going on in their lives than just chilling at school. They involve the whole person in everything. Pull us out of our shells with fake money to spend on school related items. Hand out freebies to get us excited about being in school. Have more grown up school activities for us to participate in. And we get a say in how our education goes.

    I've tried college in the past and it always blew up in my face. Things didn't work out and I just had to turn my back on it. But, now I really see myself going somewhere in life. I'm seeing positive changes in my life. Remember what I said about my constantly failing at the begining of this review? Well, going to Sanford Brown has opened my eyes to the fact that if I didn't fail sometimes then I obviously wouldn't have high enough standards. You cannot fail if you don't challenge yourself. You sometimes fail if you do... but it's just a learning experiance to get back up and try again. Sanford Brown is a good 'try again'.
