Sandpearl is as relaxing as it is beautiful
If you've got a vacation budget that allows for a luxurious getaway, head to Clearwater Beach and Sandpearl Resort. This new luxury property has been open about a year, and is a real find. Located just 30-45 min due west from Tampa airport, it's easy to find, and simply sublime. From decor to view to service, you will love Sandpearl.
Sandpearl is one of the greenest resorts in Florida, but it won't be the geo-thermal pool heating or "smart" a/c that turns your head. You'll remember soaking up views of the Gulf of Mexico from your own private balcony while enjoying a room service treat, or hanging out at one of the prettiest pool areas in the whole state. I loved my late-night soak in the sauna under the stars, and sitting around the fire-pit on the beach. If it's ambience you're after, Sandpearl has it . . . and it's all designed to help you unwind in beautiful environs.
Even sunning is luxurious
Private cabanas can be rented for a little poolside splurge, but all the chaise lounges are comfy. The beach offers even more options, with shaded chaise lounges. Cocktails are served poolside - bonus! - and Tate's, the little restaurant and bar between the pool and the beach, is so popular that locals come there to chill.
The most memorable spa
The spa is perhaps the most breathtaking aspect of the resort, with its elegant design and soothing lighting. The designers got it all just right here - a hard balance to achieve. I tried an unusual spa therapy called Hydro-Stretch which involved underwater jet massage, followed by a nice big stretch by the masseuse, while i was on a heated table. Divine!
Sandpearl's killer location makes it easy to walk to cool boutiques and off-resort restaurants. Ed Hardy tees are in plentiful supply along this stretch; shopping is great.
The rooms are spacious, gracious and have the trendy shutters which open up the bathroom view from tub to sea. Room service is quick and professional.
I love Sandpearl. Check off-season for special deals, or just go whenever you can. You will love this resort!
The Bottom Line: LIbby Loves It!
