I did a lot of research before buying this player.  I actually got a refurb unit from woot.  It's been great.  One of the tags said you couldn't delete the original music, that's not true.  I just plugged it in to my pc and browsed for the music folder and deleted it.  You may have to tell windows to allow you to see hidden files and folders first.  It's been a great play for my audio books.  Like most players now it does remember where you left off in a song which is really good for audio books so you're not searching for where you left off.
