To add songs, it's a simple drag and drop. To add pictures, it's a short step-by-step process using the software included with the product. It's cute and small and durable! I've had mine for over a year, and it's been everywhere with me, even to Africa! I've never had the battery below half-life, so it's long-lasting. You charge it by plugging it into your computer or laptop. Quite a bargain for the quality!
