SanDisk - Sansa e260 MP3 Player —

I've had my Sansa e260 for about a year now.  The Sansa e260 is a 4GB MP3 player.  It's a nice size--not too big or too small.  I have a few pictures of my kids, a couple short videos taken with my digital camera, and plenty of music on my Sansa.  I don't use the FM tuner and I haven't tried the Voice Recorder yet, but the options are there if ever I need them.  The screen is a little small, but clear.  The controls are acceptable.  I especially like the lighted circle control.  It's raised and easy to feel even in the dark to change your volume levels.  Some of the other control buttons are a bit difficult to press, but I haven't have any problems with it.  The ear buds are good quality. Maybe not high-end quality, but they work great for me.  I've used other headphones with my Sansa and found that the quality of these ear buds is better or comparable to the others I own.

I would give the Sansa a 5 star rating if it came with an AC adapter plug as well as the USB cable.  As it is, I have to plug it into my computer to charge the battery and that is oftentimes inconvenient for me (I forget I need to plug it in until after I've shutdown my computer).  There are AC adapters available that you plug the USB cable into, but it's a separate purchase and I haven't bought one yet.

4GB isn't much compared to some of the 30GB products available these days, but considering the cost of those as compared to the cost of the Sansa, this is a really good product for a reasonable price.

4gb may not be much for video but for songs it is plenty. Great Review and Welcome to Viewpoints! Ron

Yep. Good solid MP3 players are *THE* solution to Apple's iPod (which ties too closely to their iTunes store) and it's FAR smarter than the destined-to-fail Zune players backed by Microsoft.
