SanDisk - Sansa e260 MP3 Player —
I was attracted to the Sansa e260 when I saw it from a friend of a friend. At the time most of my best friends had iPods, the latest being the nano. The e260 is about half the price of an iPod nano, with 4 gig memory, plus many more features like radio, voice recording, video playing capabilities, etc. I ordered mine online, which may not have been a good idea because I think mine might have been a return. It works fine still for the most part. The only real downside to the e260 is that sometimes, you lose songs. A song would out of nowhere become a "bad track" and you have to put it in again. Then there's the Mac incompatibility but there's ways to get Windows on a Mac nowadays. But the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. As for the sound, it all depends on your headphones. The headphones that it comes with are loud. Unfortunately they wore out so I bought these other headphones, and they're not as lound as the original. In my experience there is nothing wrong with the radio stations. If it's not clear then you're probably at a bad location for receiving the signal. The controls are not too complicated. I like that it has the wheel that resembles the iPod. Battery life is pretty good. It will last you about a day on a full charge.
