Overall, I would definitely recommend this mp3 player!

4

This mp3 player is easy to use, has great features, and is excellently designed; however, I would not rate 'very good' because on several occasions it will just freeze and 'lock up.' After this happened a few times and I couldn't figure out what to do, I finally found the answer that all you have to do is hold the power button down for 15 seconds. SO this is a very simple solution but it is annoying on the several occasions this happens. Sound Quality I think the sound is great; I never have the volume all the way up but if you really like to "rock out," I'm sure it would be great for you too! Performance As I mentioned, the performance is great most of the time, but overall I would not rate it as 'very good' because multiple times it has completely "froze up." This was very irritating before I figured out the simple solution, but I still don't know why it does it in the first place. Battery Life Excellent! I know for a fact the battery life lasts more than 14 hours! It is great. Durability It's very durable; I know I have dropped it a few times and there is no damage to the interior and hardly any to the exterior! Ease of Use The easiest to use mp3 player I have ever owned! It is very clear and easy to use all the features. Design I love the design! It's the perfect size for me, very small but not extremely tiny.

Great affordable mp3 player

The Sandisk Sansa Clip is a great mp3 player for people looking to save money. In addition the 8GB model they also sell 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB models so you can decide how much music you plan on listening to and save even more. This mp3 player is great for using during workouts. It's very small and lightweight. You can barely feel it when you're carrying it around or have it clipped on. You don't need to install any special software to get started with this product. You can just drag your media onto the player and it will sync right away. It's a great advantage for people who don't want to worry about using iTunes or Windows Media Player. You can also record sound since there's a built in microphone. There's a built in FM radio tuner with 40 presets that you can record as well. A USB cable comes included in the package. The battery life is around 15-20 hours so you won't need to worry about the player dying during the day.

Excellent MP3 player at an affordable price!

Hailing from a well-known brand, the Sansa Clip has been SanDisk's most popular line of mp3 players with good reason.  Its small, compact design makes it the perfect accessory to take on the go, be it casually listening while walking, working out, or even just for relaxing at home.  The screen is not particularly big, but it's enough to view the menu and get you started in listening to your music.  It comes with a USB cable and installs the necessary drivers immediately.  Additional software is available online to enhance your experience, like auto updaters, etc.  The best part about this is it's Rhapsody-compatible.  Rhapsody is a music subscription service that allows unlimited downloads to certain mp3 players, and this happens to be one of them.  I've been using Rhapsody for a long time and have always been frustrated that my iPod wasn't compatible.  This mp3 player did the trick, and it's been working like a charm ever since.  If you're in the market for a cheap mp3 player, this is a great product to start with.

Great for running!

4

One of my hobbies is running and I do a lot of it. It is common for me to go out running for hours at a time. Something that I always take with me when I go running is this SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 player. I love this little MP3 player because it is small, affordable (but not cheaply constructed), lightweight, and it does the job well. I clip it onto my shirt and plug in my headphones and press play and I am off to go! I do not need to worry about spending extra money on an arm band like people with iPods or iPhones need to do. Not having to use the Apple iTunes software like with Apple iPods and iPhones is a huge plus too. To put music on this SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player, all one needs to do is drag and drop. The battery lasts a long time. I am not sure what it is quoted to last for, but it has never died on me because it does not have a big color LCD and wifi antenna to suck up all the power. Bottom line is, buy this MP3 player if you need a cheap, lightweight, MP3 player.

small, simple and easy to use

This is really a cute gadge. It's small, simple, and cheap, nonetheless it fulfill all my expectation for a mp3 player. It has good capacity, good sound quality, wonderful functionality and it's very easy to use. 1. Appearence. The small clip makes it convenient to carry with everywhere. It's small and light, but it's quite durable. I've drop it to the ground several times but it remains all sound-and-well. The screen is small but enough for a simple mp3 player. 2. Functions. This tiny gadge definitely has impressive performance in this aspect. Apart from the basic music play functions, it has various functions which make it excellent for listening to audible books. The music sorting system might take some time to get familiar with. But once you get used to it, you will find it's extremely handy if you are a broad and wild listener like me. The FM radio function is basic, the signal might shift over a long time and makes the sound noisy. But this doesn't happen very often. And simply change the channel and change it back will fix the problem. It can also be used as a recorder. I don't use that very much but I think it's a plus if you need to record something sometime.

Small and Simple

4

I bought this mp3 player at a Black Friday sale so I got it REALLY cheap. Regardless, it's a great alternative for the Apple titans. SanDisk is known for their memory cards, so I'm sure the 8GB of memory will be good quality memory at least. Also this little think packs quite a punch when listening to music. The headphones that come with it are quite nice. This mp3 player also has a plethora of features that make it a lot better than a lower end Ipod. It has a FM tuner built in that makes listening to music that much better. Also you can record your voice with it. I use it sometimes to record reminders for myself. Although this mp3 player is small and very portable, I'm not especially happy with the way it looks. Quite frankly, it's pretty ugly looking, but that's just my preference. It looks cheap, but the quality of this product is actually pretty good. It's lasted me for 3 years, but I just had to move on, and bought an Ipod Touch instead.

Sandisk Sansa 8GB - Wonderful little MP3 Player for the Frugal

4

I bought this Sandisk 8 GB as an upgrade to my old silver 4GB Sandisk Sansa MP3 player and I am super happy to own this. The Sandisk Sansa 8GB is the same size as the 4GB Sandisk and fits into your purse, the back pocket of your jeans, and anywhere else where you would prefer to hide something or keep something out of sight. Why would you want to deal with a bulky mp3 player if you can have something smaller that does exactly what the big iPod does. This little palm sized machine has an extra slot for sd cards to expand your media or music. The sound is crystal clear for music and radio as well as audio books. This is a great investment, if you prefer to not jump on the iPod wagon and still want to get something good for your money. Sandisk is a great brand, especially for frugal people.

Portable, durable and low cost

4

This SanDisk MP3 player is great. It is one of the first that I have owned and for the cost it was well worth it because it gets a lot of use and holds most of my music. I chose the 8GB version over the 2GB and 4GB versions of course because it was able to hold more music but also because it holds its value a little longer. It is easy to navigate the menus and playlists. I am happy with the price and durability. I have dropped my Sansa Clip quite a few times but it is lightweight and didn't damage besides a couple scratches. It to me is a little better than the Apple Shuffle because of the built-in screen, size and looks. It also functions better. Battery life could be better but I typically plug it in to charge and leave it until I need it. It is really portable and I use it while I excercise and when I'm travelling. I recommend this to whoever is looking to buy a low cost, relatively sized MP3 players with simple and easy to use functions.

Love this little thing so much!

This tiny, feather-lite mp3 player is the best out there, hands down. The bottom line with this thing is functionality. You want to listen to music, you want it to be high-quality, and you don't want the gadget in-between you and your music. This is where the Clip beats out the other players on the market. Just drag and drop your music onto it, plug in your headphones (it's also great at driving speakers with or without an amp), clip it on, and go. You want to skip to the next track? You know where the button is by feel - no need to pick it up, look at it, navigate through a silly touch-screen, etc. If you are looking for a player to use while exercising, stop looking, this is it. It weighs almost nothing! If you drop it, it just hangs lightly on the bottom of the headphone cord. It has no moving parts, so you don't have to worry about shocking a hard-drive. The clip lets you stick it wherever you want, no armband needed. I could go on, but I'll just say buy it, it's great! (Note: If you need more space, get the Clip+ instead and expand the memory with a microSD card.)

perfect jogging partner

This is the iPod killer. It's cheaper, has longer battery life (15 hours), has two-color OLED display, can play MP3, FLAC, WAV, and OGG files, has built-in radio tuner, voice recording, play/repeat/shuffle/etc. functions, a rugged control panel, a safety switch to lock it in place so you don't accidentally start to play a song and wear out the battery that way, a great piano black finish, light weight, and even a clip so you can clip it to your shorts or something when you go jogging. It does not rely on hard drives, which can break or skip easily, instead utilizing NAND flash memory, like the kind you see in USB key drives. I've done pretty much everything but put this device through the washing machine (though I get sweaty enough on long runs that in a way, it kind of is put into a washing machine!), and it keeps coming back for more punishment. Heck, you can even do what I did recently and plug it into some speakers and put it in the living room to make a spontaneous stereo system. The speakers have to be decent to get good output, but the input can be from anything--even this tiny device, which produces surprisingly high-fidelity music. It even comes with headphones and a short mini-USB plug to plug into your computer to download firmware or upload/download music files.
