First of all let me say that I do love Apple. However, my first mp3 player was a Sansa clip, the 2 GB. I couldn't afford any of the iPods at the time. I bought the Sansa clip in Dec. 2007; it is STILL working, and I play it heavily every day. It has great features its rival, the iPod shuffle, sorely lacks: FM radio, a easy to read screen, an audiobook feature, abilty to store multiple playlists, and you can delete songs on it. I expected, after finally buying the iPod Touch this semester, that I would quit using the Sansa Clip; however, when Im going off to class in the morning with a coffee thermos in my hand, the Sansa clip is much easier to use. It clips easily to anything u need it to. If you're thinking about buying an iPod shuffle, I do recommend you try the Sansa Clip first--the performance is great, the price is much better, and you get more for your money, and it's long-lasting even with daily use.
