SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro U3 USB 2.0 Flash Drive Review

I have used this Sandisc 2GB USB Flash Drive for about six months and have been pleased with it. My favorite feature of this product is the retractable USB connector. I have had previous flash drives with a removable cap, and I like this one much better. Although I never lost the cap on my previous one, I had to hunt more than once for that cap.

I use my flash drive regularly for loading pictures to print and also for transferring PowerPoints I have created for teaching purposes. The Powerpoints tend to be large files, so I've had to delete some files in order to load others on it. I probably need an 8 GB at some point, but I'm OK with deleting what I don't need at this point.

My Sandisc USB Thumb Drive has worked fine on my computer, which is loaded with Windows XP. I believe I saw a review mentioning that it may not work well with Vista, so if you have Vista, you may want to check out the other reviews here on this product.

The only problem I've experienced with this pen drive is that my computer tends to have issues every time I hook and unhook it to my computer. I do not think this is a problem with the flash drive because the computer also tends to have problems after I attach my camera to it as well. I think this problem comes from an installation issue, but I tend to let my computer technician husband figure out those details.

My Viewpoint:

The Sandisc USB Thumb Drive is convenient, works well with XP, and was a great bargain at the time. Online price for this item runs about $22, but I picked mine up on sale. These products tend to be on sale pretty frequently, so I recommend waiting for a good sale and purchasing a flash drive with the memory that suits your needs.
