I got this phone as a replacement of the Samsung 940 (another bad phone). I did not get to check into it before I got it since my computer broke so the Sprint lady on the phone suggested it as one of the two most comparable to the 940. (The other is the Samsung 610).
This phone has a very tiny display on one side and very large touchscreen menu on the other. The tiny display is hard to read sometimes since it is so small and the menu is hard to navigate due to fat fingers (?) or sensitivity? (I didn't think I had fat fingers).
The camera is ok, nothing special.
Very poor battery life. The worst I have ever had!
There is an issue with Samsung phones you may want to be aware of. When a call comes in and you are already doing something with the phone in another mode or whatever it gives you option to answer or ignore incoming call. Great feature! But it does not work! You cannot answer it at all and have to wait til it goes through and then call the person back and apologize and explain you really were not ignoring their call. Samsung is aware of this flaw and to my (and Sprint's) knowledge have not yet fixed it. No plans at this time.
I am checking into this site to replace the Upstage with ???? Motorazr V3m, Motokrzr K1m, Sanyo Katana, or unfortunately another one from the Samsung such as M500, M510 or M610.
Don't know which one yet, but with Sprint that is what they offer comaprably.
