Decent phone for a decent price

4

I really liked this phone when I first got it about two years ago, and it has impressed me in its durability. It has been dropped many times and used quite a bit, but for the most part it still performs just as well as when I first got it. The QWERTY keyboard is extremely easy to use and makes typing that much quicker. The camera is not so great, especially on the front-facing view. The screen looks nice and works well as a touch-screen. The one major issue I had was using the built-in browser since I could never get the internet to load on it, but once I downloaded a different browser it worked just fine. My apps play well and I've rarely had any glitches or crashes that were not caused by an individual app. The phone doesn't lag and has never really let me down. The battery life could be better, but it's not that bad when it's not being used. I know this phone is discontinued, but if you are looking for a decent used phone for a good price, this is definitely one of the top phones to look at. Battery Life Drains very quickly when searching for signal.

Not a bad phone

I wanted options for typing when I bought this phone, but after getting it and using it for over a year, I realize I've hardly ever even used the slide-out keypad. I do all of my typing via the touchpad on the front. It's not as difficult to use as I had expected. This is my first true smartphone, and I'm rather impressed. There are tons of free apps in the Google Play store. The speakers aren't the greatest, but since this isn't important to me, I don't really mind. The speakers are still better than any other phone I've ever had, but, again, none of them were smartphones. The video can be a little choppy if I try to play YouTube videos, but there weren't that bad when I first got the phone, so I'm guessing it's more of a free memory issue. The camera is actually really really good. The video is frustrating, though, because unless your vids are about 6 seconds long, you aren't able to upload them to Facebook or send them via IM or email. That's pretty annoying. The battery life is now horrible, and I'm charging it twice a day, so I had to order a new battery for it online. I have not yet received it. But this battery lasted almost two years since I first got the phone, as it is the original that came with it, so I suppose that's not too bad. And oftentimes, the first webpage you open won't load until forever. I can't think of much else about it to review. Overall, I'm impressed with my first smartphone! Call Quality though this depends on what network you use it on. I have Boost Mobile and sometimes this service is absolutely horrid for having calls connect in the first place, and sometimes calls are dropped. And oftentimes, the webpage won't load until forever. And texts won't go through and will ask to be resent. Durability I've only dropped it down cement porch stairs one time, near the very beginning of owning it. Once I got a case with a rubbery texture, I haven't dropped it since.

Recommend for browsing internet

I got this phone as a replacement and it has worked well. The app market isn't as good as other phones because the phone isn't compatible with some games but it works great for internet browsing and checking email. Very sturdy my 3 year old threw the phone and cracked the screen very baldly and it still works fine. Battery Life Battery life is good I can charge it up and can be left off the charger all night without dieing just make sure to not leave internet running Design Personally its a little thicker then I like but that's because of the slide out keyboard.

I really like the keypad on this phone. The buttons feel a little soft which I like rather than the harder keypads. It glides open easily, and I noticed that the screen doesn't scratch as easily as other phones I've had. I think it's because the edges are a little raised and I think that guards the screen a little better. I don't take very good care of my electronics (or just have bad luck!) so I am used to my phones being pretty scratched up by this point, and I've had the phone for about 2 months now. It feels sturdier than other phones, but isn't too big. It's bigger than I would prefer, but I understand that it can come with the keypad in a phone sometimes. It is having glitches here and there. Applications are opening for 1 second and then closing right back out without me closing it. And my screen freezes occasionally. But the phone comes with a one-year warranty and no electronic device is PERFECT so I am not complaining too much. It doesn't inconvenience me that greatly. And LOVE the camera flash!

This is a decent mid-range Android phone but nothing more. It has aIl the great Sprint services like GPS, TV, etc. I do love the slide out qwerty keyboard. I also like the notification system on the phone. It allows me to see when i miss calls, e-mails & texts. The browsing is average and I have only found a couple of apps that don't work on this phone. I would like to see the Android OS get updated on this phone but I'm not holding my breath. I wouldn't call the phone slow, but I do experience occasional delays and ignored touches. I have found that if I keep the installed Sprint ID that the phone runs smoother than running other add-on themes. I also find that I need to re-boot the phone every couple of days to keep it running smooth. I really wanted to like this phone. It is my first smartphone but in the end, it is just ok. If I were to buy a new phone again, I would pay the extra money and get an Evo or Epic.
