I got this camera to replace my older one that was showing its age. I love this camera! it is great for taking clear sharp pictures in many different situations. I would say that it takes a second to go from camera to video mode, but that is not that important. The pictures and videos it takes are high quality. The camera battery does last a long time and the charging cable doubles as the one to hook the camera to your computer (if you don't use a card reader) so that is convenient. One thing I noticed is that it takes AWESOME videos, BUT the file size is so big, even on my 4gb card it will only hold around 20 minutes of video. Also, when zooming, the microphone cuts out in the video so you have to be prepared for that. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with this camera!

Love this camera!! My husband bought it for me for Christmas 2 years ago and it is still working great! It takes amazing close ups .....the picture is always clear weather you are taking pictures or recording videos. It is easy to use and easy to upload the pictures to any type of computer ! The price was amazing beings it was bought on Black Friday from our local Walmart. The camera is light weight and cute and very durable it goes everywhere with us ! The colour effects are also great. The only thing I noticed is the cameras volume (when playing back a video) is not loud enough to hear unless of course you upload it to the computer and listion which surely can be a hassle in itself ! I have got two of my closest friends to also purchase similar Samsung cameras and they also are now devoted Samsung buyers!!

I received this camera for my birthday a year ago and over all I have been satisified with the results  this camera has given me. I like that its a 12.2 mega pixel, its fairly easy to use. You can use the preloaded music that comes with the camera and create a really cool slide show. You have the option to turn your photos into sepia or b&w. Its easy to zoom in and out. When your searching for your photos you have the option to view one photo at a time or scroll through multiple photos on the screen to find what your looking for faster. for kicks and giggles you can choose from a few different preloaded sounds to be active when you push the shoot button. The color is vibrant and I like the small size of the camera. It easily fits into my pants pocket or purse. Its not bulky or heavy and the screen on the back is large enough to see what your photographing. Over all I dont have any major complaints about this camera. I've given it to my 5 year old and she's gone around the house and photographed hundreds of photos and its easy enough for her to use. It also takes decent video. Great camera over all.

I really love this camera. It is small enough to take everywhere I go and has all of the functionality that I need. At 12.2 megapixels and w/a 5x optical zoom, it takes great pictures. The settings vary from simple for the beginning to advanced for the long-time photographer. Even the video comes out quite good. Getting the pix from camera to computer is just as easy. The power cord doubles as the USB connection. The battery has a long life, too. If you are off on vacation or just out w/friends and family, make sure you keep the SL620 with you to capture life's groovy moments.

This ***is ***the best camera you can buy for the price.  The quality of the camera is superb for it has many great features including A Perfect Portrait system and Dual image stabalization; helps for the best standstill image.  The zoom quality is probably one of the best features with its 5x zoom and the LCD screen.  My only complaint is when your zooming in/out while recording a video the sound dsables until your done focusing, throws the vidoe quaity off for you cant every aspect.

This camera is great.  I purchased this camera a year ago for my mother to replace her Casio.  the Casio was a great camera and this Samsung has been more than good enough even surpassing the Casio she had before.  With 12.2 mega pixels and 5x optical zoom it can take some very stunning pictures.  The large screen is great for previewing pictures and with face detection you are guaranteed to take a great picture every time.  This camera is simple enough to let even the most non tech savvy person operated with ease.

I bought this camera about a year ago.  It has been a great camera with great functions such as, when my daughter smiles it automatically takes the picture.  Great quality and great focus.  But when I first got it the lens broke and it broke without me even touching the lens.  I am being honest no dropping, hitting, bumping nothing.  Then it did it about two times after that.  So I would recommend this for it's picture taking quality but if you are not super careful with it then I would not recommend it because the lens breaks very easily.  It's very sensitive.

With a 3.0-inch LCD screen that makes taking and reviewing photos easier, especially when your eyesight isn't as good as it used to be. The SL620 comes with 40 MB of built-in memory, or the ability to save to SD/SDHC/MMC memory cards for easy storage and sharing with your family. This is not my first digital camera but this is one of the easier to use Samsung cameras I have purchased. The menu dial is very easy to use as well.  Taking pictures couldn't be much easier than this.
