SGH-t339: you get what you paid for

And since this phone doesn't cost much, Don't expect much. It is good for making calls, but it's intuitive text usually just slows me down. That may be the case with any intuitive text feature for me. There are two drawbacks to this phone that are worth mention and knowing about; the first is that the camera button is on the side of the phone and easy to press accidentally, so expect a lot of pocket or purse pictures. The second may be realted to the first and that is that the battery life seems very short. One time my phone went dead and neeeded to be recharged within 7 hours of pulling it off the charger. It works well with the blue tooth and it is Wifi capable so it is a good phone to have with a T-mobile hotspot. But I have been able to get it to grab the WiFi signal in stores and the library.

I have had this phone for over 3 yrs now.  It is great! Good reception.  Sound volume great.  Texting is wonderful.  I especially love the wifi hotspot connect b/c we live in a fringe reception area.  As soon as I arrive home, I connect to my home wifi and always have great reception.  My only worry is that they will stop making this phone. I want another when it is time to replace it, but I doubt it will wear out soon as it is made really solid. I have had a bit of trouble with the headphone jack hinge.  You see I use my headphone all of the time -- yes I know others now use the wireless earphones, but I am a bit old school.  Anyway, I have had to repair my jack hinge several times.  Also the camera is only okay, but I don't use it much.  It could be that I need cellphone camera lessons.  However, I did get a few great shots of my dog with it.  It just takes lots of redos for me to get it right.

I've had my phone for over two years now and I absolutely love it! I've dropped this on so many occassions, it's ridiculous! It's even been dropped in water and it's still working fine. It has all the basics that I need in a phone which are predicitive text, bluetooth capability, camera, and of course the ability to make calls. The camera is pretty good, but of course nothing compared to the smartphones that are out now. Nonetheless, I refuse to upgrade to a smart phone because I've had too many problems with the screens freezing and other issues. Besides, I like my flip phone with my basic dial pad where I can text message in my pocket! All of my phones have been Samsung up until now and I'm going to stick with them because they're make good sturdy phones with nice features and you don't have to buy a new charger for every newer model that comes out which is a nice money saver! I'll have to retire this phone soon unfortunately, but I'll be sure to get another Samsung!

Samsung SGH-t339 is a pretty decent flip phone!

I received this phone in burgundy from my Grandmother.  We had just moved and had no phone at all.  My first impression is definitely the color.  I really like deep red/purple hues.  I also like how the edges are softened and it looks glossy on front and metallic on back.  As far as usage goes, its a pretty easy phone to use.  It's really not too complex.  I like that there is a slot for mini-SD cards as I take a lot of pictures.  I not a huge fan of the keys, they are flat like the Motorola Razr so when you are texting, you may not actually hit all the keys if you are not paying attention fully.  This phone did make it through me dropping it into a toilet!  It was strange for a few days, but is still in good working condition.  I do wish the music player played a bit more loudly, but since I have an ipod I only use phone music players as back up.  I like the front display and it takes pretty good pictures.  I wish there was a visible display when you are not using to phone that alerts you that you have a message, but its easy enough to either open the phone or push a button on the side to check.  One thing that I don't like is that you can't text email addresses.  I have friends in Japan that I text, and Japanese cell phones use email addresses so I could only send them reliably when I would send a picture message without text.  There is an email address for T-Mobile phones, but when you receive a message from one, it comes as a 4 digit number and you can only reply to it so many times.  Other than that, I don't have many complaints. Don't know much about the price as it was given to me, but all in all, it is a good flip phone that is not hard to use.

A cool phone!

I have had this phone for about a year now and at first I loved it and I still like it, but there are some things I wish I had instead. I love the flip-style, the color (burgandy), the messaging capabilities, etc. It also has a spot for a mini sd card, so that's nice. However, I wish it had much more space to store music, pics, messages, etc. I also wish I didn't have to pay for ring tones, so that I could get a new tone any time I wanted without having the default ones. I mean I am already paying a monthly service, right and I bought the phone, so why not? Cell phones companies need to offer more than they do, but that is just my opinion. Anyway, I have liked this phone ever since I bought it, especially the texting style. It is a lot different than what I am used to because I usually buy motorola phones, but for some reason, this samsung was different. I am not sure what phone I will choose next time.

Simple

With all the new technology like internet, music downloads, video downloads, keyboard, touchscreen etc. on such a small screen this phone doesn't have any of it, which is why this phone is perfect!  It's a flip phone so no need to worry about it too much.  You drop, you yell, you say, "whew," and you can move on.  It has a camera which is simple enough.  Everything is self explanatory, literally.  The little envelope after pressing menu is MESSAGES, if you don't know how I know just look at it yourself, it's at the top of the screen.  For me all I need and want on a phone is calling, text messaging, and a camera and that's what I have nothing more and nothing less.  Nothing complicated, and nothing that will put my bill majorly at risk.  The look is as simple as it's features by the way, which is amazing for a person like me.  The simpler it is, the classier it looks.  The phones with all the stuff on them looks tacky to me, really.  Although I've seen a few full touch screens and those are nice, but they are such a pain in the butt.  My fingers need to be actually touching a button rather than a picture of a button. *The time I got this phone it was only in red and now it is also in black.  Sad for me a good for whomever decides to get this incredibly simply, yet amzing phone. :)

Love it so far

I really like this phone, but then I have always liked Samsung and try to get them every time I get a new phone. I'm still trying to figure out how to get on the internet, but that's just me and probably not their fault. I'm a little phone challenged. I really like the size and the fact that it's a flip phone. Whenever my husband uses the phone he forgets to hang up and then people can hear him whatever he's doing. With a flip phone he can be sure he has hung up.
