Need to hear what the person you're talking to is actually saying?
If so, this phone is NOT for you. It is for psychics only. I was unable to hear the other end of any conversation, and the problem was so bad, I actually considered having my ears tested.
First Stop: Cingular
"Let's see, you bought that phone from us a couple of months ago at a big discount, but you have 16 more months to go on your contract, and it's too early to "upgrade." How about buying this other phone for $300?"
Next Stop: Radio Shack
The competent folks at Radio Shack taught me I could buy an inexpensive Motorola go-phone (see my review) and insert my SIM card in it. Problem solved, for $50. Cingular, kiss my grits. I will be shopping for a new cell company, since you don't understand that customer loyalty is something you want to ENCOURAGE, instead of PENALIZE.
Possibly a lemon?
My phone was possibly a lemon, but I'll never know. So I won't try Samsung phones again but will just stick with Motorola or Nokia phones. My Samsung now makes a dandy $100 paperweight.
The Bottom Line: Libby Loathes It.
