Most HelpfulMy daughter kept begging to take my expensive digital camera to school. I found the Samsung S860 and bought her one - she carried it in her purse - dropped it at least a dozen times, splashed water on it and shared it with her friends. She took it on a field trip after all this and when she had...

Most HelpfulI bought this camera because I was planning a vacation to Vegas, my husband and I are going to fly there. My other camera is the Nikon D50, it's a large and somewhat of a clunky camera. Don't get me wrong, I love that camera too but I wanted something cheap to bring with on the vacation...just in case we lost it or something we wouldn't be out much. My Nikon cost us over $800.00 where this Samsung was just under $100.00...that's a great price for such a great camera!
It's very easy to operate, it just so happens to use the same SD card as my Nikon and I just love that I can do some fun color changing...

This camera has great colors to choose from! I got a metallic blue. I know Pink and Silver were choices too. Also, the buttons are user friendly, it's easy to change flash setttings, resolution and to view/delete pics. The rotating button on the top allows for easy changes to 'dark', 'mountain', 'beach', 'video', etc settings.
I like the lens design, as you turn off...

I wanted a point and shoot around $100 that would provide decent photos primarily using the Auto setting . In addition, this camera has image stabilization so no blurry shots, face detection, red eye removal and lots more that are usually only found on pricier cameras .
It has 8.1 megapixels and a 2.5 LCD screen -decent . The onyl flaws are the LCD screen is hard to see while taking shots in bright sun - a viewfinder would have been nice . Also, if your batteries are low ( rechargeables are a MUST ) , the lens...
read full review »Where do i start? This camera has brought me more misery than anything else in the one year that I have owned it. I first got it senior year of high school to take to grad bash and that very same day, only a couple of days after the purchase, it started freszing and the screen would not move. I literally had to take the batteries out and put them back in to get the camera to turn off so I could turn it back on again so it could start working once again. I still do't know why I did not return it right away. I guess since I needed it to continue taking pictures as the end of my high school career...

Samsung - S860 Digital Camera
I bought this camera in pink and was so excited to get it. The first few times that I used it, the camera worked great after that it only worked when it wanted to. The flash didnt work, the lens wouldn't retract half the time and when you turned it on the service message popped up and the camera went off. I called Wal-Mart, but since I didnt have the reciept they couldn't do anything. When I tried to call the company, there was no answer and no response at the website either. When the camera did work, it took bad pictures. Either they were too dark...
