Samsung - S630 —
This is the first digital camera I've purchased for myself. The others I've had were gifts. I read some reviews and did some price comparisons, and when I found this camera on sale at Circuit City for 89 bucks, I jumped on that deal. I am amazed at how good the quality is on this camera! I was looking for something that could focus close up on small objects, as I am a jewelry maker. This camera really does a fantastic job on macro mode and I have been thrilled with the results. I truly do take it with me everywhere. I've recommended it to several friends and would buy it as a gift in a heartbeat. I use rechargeable batteries with it and never have a problem with battery life. I personally didn't mind that the user's manual had to be accessed on the computer. Since I am a Mac user at home, I did have to bring the CD to work to view the manual, but that wasn't a big deal. I can't use any of the software on the disc, but still love the camera!
