The Samsung Corby has a 2.8", 240 x 320 pixel, 262k colour, capacitive touchscreen display. The display quality is quite good for a phone in this price range and although the colours could have been more vivid, the overall brightness is quite good. The display does wash out considerably under the sun though, and one has to hold the phone at an angle to make sense of what is being displayed. The touchscreen response of the display is quite good. Even light touches seem to be recognized quite well, which makes things like typing on the on-screen keypad more comfortable.   The widget tray lies on the left side of the screen and can be accessed by tapping on the screen. The phone comes with 27 widgets built-in and 75 more can be downloaded online. The widgets on the Corby are really good. You get widgets for all the major social networking websites like Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, Photobucket, etc. And this time they are not just links for the built-in browser but actual widgets that let you access the sites and the functions from within the widget.  The interface the Corby has some cool other features. For starters there is a new single touch zoom feature. You just press and hold your finger on the screen in an image or a browser and window and the zoom function gets activated. After that just slide your finger up or down to zoom in or out respectively. Then there is the Smart Unlock feature that lets you unlock the screen in a unique way. Just draw a character on the screen instead of pressing and holding a button, and the screen gets unlocked. You can also draw a number on the lock screen and the speed dial assigned to that number gets dialed immediately. You can also draw a character assigned to a particular app in the phone and that app is launched immediately after the screen is unlocked. This makes it quick and easy to access your favourite functions from a locked screen. The Corby also comes with a built-in Dictionary with support for eight different languages - English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Ukrainian.  Now coming back to the interface, the main menu of the phone is split into three sections, much like the home screen. In previous Samsung phones all the functions were divided into 12 icons but in the new TouchWiz interface they get their own place in the main menu. Unfortunately, you'll waste a lot of time in the menu scrolling around to find that one item you want, as there is no search function. The Corby also has a special Cartoon theme that gives all the menu icons an animated look. This is similar to what Samsung had used previously on some of its media players. The phone also comes with four different fonts, three of which are a bit more stylish than the standard (and boring) default font and go well with the Cartoon theme. The interface speed is good and the phone rarely feels slow or sluggish. However, the screen response is still not up to the mark and there are several occasions when the screen fails to understand whether the user wants to scroll or click on a particular menu item. So at times you end up selecting something on the screen even though all you wanted to do is scroll. This would happen a lot if you are used to using the iPhone or the iPod touch (as was the case with this reviewer), as the Samsung phone comes nowhere close to matching the brilliance of the screen interaction in the Apple devices. Still you do get used to these idiosyncrasies and eventually you wouldn't mind them at all.  One thing that we missed was an auto-rotate feature for the UI, due to the lack of an accelerometer. Also, I wish the top bar in the phone that houses all the notification icons was put to more use and made touch sensitive, or had a notification tray like in the Android OS to make it more productive than showing just icons. The Samsung Corby comes with a standard on-screen phone keypad and there is no on-screen QWERTY mode, not that it would have fit on the QVGA display of the Corby. The standard keypad is decent with large enough keys but strangely the [Space] key is placed at the side instead of at the bottom row, which can be very inconvenient initially. Also, the keypad works fine in the messaging app but in other applications (such as the browser) the keypad does not automatically capitalize the alphabets after a period.  The Samsung Corby has a 2 Megapixel  camera with fixed focus. The camera can also record videos in QVGA resolution at 15 FPS. The camera does not have any flash for low-light photography. The camera can be started by pressing the shutter key on the side. The shutter key unfortunately is placed awkwardly near the center of the phone and not near the right edge. It is also quite flush with the body and near the rear side, so it is difficult to see the button from the front and press it comfortably.

The Sound bite should sum up the whole experience of the Samsung Corby. Starting from the name till the its appearance and usage, the only thing I can think about is that its a very cute phone.    The phone comes in vibrant and standard colors- black white orange pink etc. The display is bigger than you expect and crystal clear. Its filled with 27 pre installed widgets and more than 70 that are downloadable. Its an extremely SNS friendly phone and access all of your favourite SNS in one touch. It comes with a very useful dictionary and has 2 megapixel camera and Music player. It comes with a 2 gb memory card as a standard acessory along with a standard charger, a headset and 2 panels. Battery life I must say was a pleasant surprise considering that I am a heavy user and lasts for almost two days. It may not seem as smooth as an **I **phone but if you are looking for a cheap touch phone then don't look back at any other phone.   What lacks in the phone is the clarity of its camera and the music. Could have been better in terms of picture and sound clarity. Its got to go miles before it can catch up with the smoothness and touch sensitiveness of an I Phone. An mind you, if you are looking for a business phone then this phone is definitely not the one for you.    Overall this is a fun phone and value for money. In case you want to buy and I phone and consider it to be too expensive and complicated to use then I suggest go a Samsung Corby.
