Great Picture and sound

5

This Samsung tv has a great picture and so is the sound. Samsung products are always a first choice for me because of the quality. I had a Samsung phone that was also great in quality. It's also lightweight. I carried it upstairs by myself. Easy hook up to my Wii for streaming as well.

Outstanding HD quality- all my TV's will be Samsun

5

Approximately 6 months ago I purchased the Samsung HDTV (tube version)  Wow do I love it. Get clear over the air HD signals, many more stations that I thought were even available, and crisp clear picture for sports, movies or music videos. Highly recommended.

Love it!

I love my new Samsung plasma! Only problem I have with it, is the audio. It could be a little stronger. Picture is big and just great! I would highly recommend this TV for the price. With surround sound, TV/movie experience is just great. We had a Sony DLP first and took it back to switch for a plasma. We are very happy with the Samsung.

Great television at an awesome price -- 50 inch Samsung Plasma

4

This was our second plasma.  The first, a 42 inch Panasonic, is an incredible television.  However, when it came time to buy a larger television for the living room, I found the Samsung for a couple of hundred less than the 50 inch Panasonic.  Being a value conscious person, I opted for the Samsung.  I can truly say that I cannot tell the difference in quality between the two.  The Pansonic probably has slightly better blacks, but it's not readily apparent.  If the prices are the same, I'd probably recommend the Panasonic.  However, for a price difference, I would not hesitate to pull the trigger on the Samsung.  We have a blu ray connected and the HD quality is great.  I also have no problem recommending a 720 as opposed to an 1080.  If you can tell the difference, you've got better eyes than I do.  I have this television is a very bright room, and have no problems seeing the picture on the plasma.

Samsung 58inch Plasma TV is great quality for the cost

4

This TV is like having a movie theater in your living room! 58 inches is a great size for movies, regular TV watching, or just to watch the news. Not too small & not too big in size! The TV does produce a noticeable amount of heat production when it is on. Placing it in a room that has good temperature control takes care of most of the heat production problem. The TV has a low subtle buzzing noise it produces, but you stop noticing it after a while. It has rich colors, blacks, & good contrast. Resolution is 1080p. It has lots of connector option on the back such as 4 HDMI jacks & a VGA-in so hooking up your computer to the TV is easy. We stream netflix straight to the TV and the quality is excellent. There is no action blurring noticed on the TV since we have owned it. It does have a small amount of image retention, but it will go away when another image has processed across the screen for a little bit. We love the qaulity of the TV & the value we got for our money. We are glad we waited, researched, & purchased this TV!

Samsung HDTV Plasma is a beautiful TV

5

When my husband decided he wanted a flat panel TV, we really did our research. In every store we walked into, the Samsung stood out leaps and bounds above the others.  The picture clarity was amazing and the colors were so clean and sharp the screen was literally lifelike.  We decided on a 42 in 1080i and we are not sorry.  It looks even better in our home than it did in the busy store. My husband watches all kinds of sports, you can literally see the blades of grass on a golf course during a televised golf match!  It sounds just as great as it looks and with all of the HDMI inputs we easily hooked up our DVD player and surround sound. We mounted ours on the wall with no problem, but the stand is sturdy and easily holds it on an entertainment center. We initially had one problem right off the bat, some of the pixels were just little blue spots in certain areas of the screen.  The warranty people came right out repaired the problem and we have not had any problems since.  We love our Samsung TV!

I got everything I wanted in this Samsung 58" Plasma TV

4

Due to a flood lost most everything, including our TV.  So, for 3 months I have been shopping for a plasma tv.  The main thing I NEEDED was a picture-in-picture TV.  I have written EVERY plasma TV maker to find out what TV had PIP.  Samsung was the one company that had the most variety.  We finally settled on the Samsung Plasma 58" (PN58B860).  This is in the 8 series which is their top line.  We just hooked it up a few days ago and WE LOVE IT.  Crisp picture, true color, and very pretty to look at.  I have not been through all the features yet, but right now we definately made the right choice. One tip.  If you are going to purchase such a TV, you must buy a sound system.  We did and WOW.  We purchased same brand sound system and both the TV remote and sound system remote work on both items.  No need to program. I could have paid less for an LCD or even a bigger screen, but PIP is hard to find now a days.  Because this feature was what we wanted most, I am excited to say that we can now again watch football and Nascar at the same time once again. Also, the viewing angle is awsome.  No matter where we are we can see the tv.  could not say the same about an LCD. I am hoping to update this reveiw as I go through all the options on my new TV.  The remote is definately one I have to look over at it has TONS of buttons, it's nicely laid out and with a little time I will be as adept at using it as I was my old Panasonic CRT TV remote.

Samsung Plasma TV 50" 760 Series- Best Buy!!!

5

So we purchased the Samsung 50" Plasma TV Series 760. This was TV # 2- but not for the reason you think... We started out with the Samsung LCD 850 series 52" with all the bells and whistles. The new motion technology, the extra on screen features, blah blah blah. Bottom line- we should have gone with the plasma from the beginning. We have a large room with seating ont 3 walls. Plasma is easily viewed from all angles where as the LCD lost some of the picture the further from the "sweet spot" you got. Also, the motion technology, cool and new as it may be, can often become overwhelming in that it almost takes on a 3D look to it and makes the actual motion look a bit jagged. The colors on the Plasma were also more vibrant. Deeper blacks, more varied tones to ech color. All in all having had both an LCD and Plasma in the same room in the same home and test driving it during both the day and night, I can firmly say that to get the best bang for your buck on a large screen HDTV go with the plasma. There aren't enough advantages to the LCD (except that it is slightly more energy efficient) to make it worth what you give up. PS- we also discovered "ghosting" or "clouding" on our LCD within the first week- and quite honestly for that amount of money, it should at least start out perfect, right?

Will make a nice coffee table in two years!

1.  life of two, or three years.2.  stop making parts almost immeadiatly.3.  no factory trained techs.  4.  If you can find someone who knows what they are doing the parts took 7 months     to arrive-slow boat from china?5.  I don't think I'm alone.  There's a lot of people complaing about the short life of      their 42" t.v-6.  I really don't know why we can't make these t.v's here, and mandate that parts     should be available for 10 years.

it is very nice, and the quality is too amazing, best television

5

the toshiba television is very nice. the quality in the television is perfectly crisp, after a while of owning it it will go down in life and the crispness will be lost. Also, the remote breaks easily when is in the hands of two year old. This television is amazing in the family room with its parental locks on it.
