Wanted to love this phone

By

from Charleston, WV

Comments about Samsung Magnet SGH- Cell Phone:

I wanted to love this phone, but it's not been a promising partner!  First off, it would not connect to any bluetooth devices.  It still won't.  :c(

A few weeks later, the buttons began to act up.  I had to push them twice to get them to work.  Now, there are a select few that won't work at all!

AT&T requires that I have the box in order to return it or get it repaired.  Of course, I don't have the box anymore... AT&T's cell service is a WHOLE different review.

I'm still going to try to get this one repaired/replaced, or I might try an Impression if they'll exchange it.  Overall, I like Samsung, just not this one.

great phone for all users

By

from Baton Rouge, LA

Comments about Samsung Magnet SGH- Cell Phone:

The Samsung Magnet cell phone, is one of the better phones that I have owned in a very long time. I do not like flip-phones and this phones is a great alternative! If you are like me and do not like flip phones and need a great "pocket phone" this cellular phone is it! This phone is the perfect size if you just need to put in your pocket and then go! It is perfect for me because I am a busy graduate student and this phone is perfect for me because it has a good memory and batter life so I can talk as long as I need to to my project partner.

The phone also has a great full keyboard for me to use! The keys could be a bit bigger for navigation but all in all it is great to use for a constant texter like me! The screen on the phone is also a great size so I can easliy read who is calling me as well as reading texts that come into my phone. The camera takes good pictures and it has great reception! I can pick up calls pretty much any where so I can keep in constant contact with my family and friends!

This phone is great for anyone to use from a graduate student to a busy parent! My boyfriend recently got the exact same cellular phone for his birthday and he loves it too! Its great to use and I love it mainly because it has clear sound so I can hear when it rings and I never lose it! It is hard to lose inside of a purse. The best things overall about this phone is that it can fit in any purse, pants pocket, back pack, etc! You name it and it can fit in it!

Good all-around cell phone.

By

from Denton, TX

Comments about Samsung Magnet SGH- Cell Phone:

I recently was looking for a new cell phone to replace my Motorola Razor and I selected the Samsung Rant. I feel this is a good all around phone for those who are looking for a user friendly cell phones that make calls and has extras such as internet connectivity and full key board. With the contract extension this was a very reasonably priced phone.

I use this phone daily incluidng incoming and outgoing calls. My texting is easier ont his phone that on the Motorola Razor. The keys are not extremely large however they are easy to use. My major concern with purchasing a full QWERTY keyboard was the ability to text with my large fingers. After a few attempts it is really easy now.

The Samsung Magnet does not have any expandable memory however I find the phone has more than enough for the amount of pictures I want or need on my phone. You do have to delete test messages if you send a bunc but overall the Samsung Magnet is a good phone.

Great for a first QWERTY keyboard

By

from Chandler, AZ

Comments about Samsung Magnet SGH- Cell Phone:

I bought this phone as a temporary replacement for my others and was great for the time being. The full QWERTY keyboard is conveniant although it can be uncomfortable for people with larger fingers. Not much bells and whistles compared to phones nowadays but it gets the job done. Texting, Calling, Instant messaging with yahoo, aim, and msn a camera and a few demo games. It's a standard phone so don't expect anything else. The middle button is easy to hit and sometimes will take you to the web browser. I use it everynow and then when my other phones battery dies out and it keeps a charge for a decent amount of time. I used to have a case and screen protector for it and got tired of it for the bulkiness and took it all off. No major scratches on the screen but I have dropped it a couple times and there are minor scuffs on the paint that doesnt really bother me. Ever since I dropped it, it sometimes restarts by itself but thats just my problem.

Great phone for quick and easy texting

By

from Orchard Park, NY

Comments about Samsung Magnet SGH- Cell Phone:

The Samsung Magnet is an excellent everyday cell phone, especially if you can receive it free from AT&T with a contract purchase.  The magnet is slick and comes in a great, vibrant orange color.  My friends are constantly asking to see my sleek and handsome samsung magnet.  The phone looks like a more expensive smartphone, such as the Blackberry, but it is much more slim and easy to slide into a pocket.  However, because of its light weight and slenderness, it is easy to drop and the back will often snap off.  The big screen is bright and easy to read.  The QWERTY keyboard is perfect for quick and easy text messaging, easily accessible at the touch of a finger without having to slide or open anything.  However, the keypad is a bit awkwardly designed, the keys are a tad small and it is easy to misspell with an incorrect keystroke when typing with your thumbs.  However, I text very frequently and I have not been too bothered by the design.  Overall, a great phone for a great value.
