Excellent TV at a great price

a techie, a bargain hunter

We had a 10yr old 27" JVC CRT Tv that had the picture tube go out. We also have a home theater in our basement that has a 720p projector and a 119" screen. Because of the home theater when our "upstairs" TV when out, I started looking for bargain LCDs in the 32" range.

Fortunately for me I found a great deal on this set. It was about the same price as a 42" Westinghouse, but the picture quality (especially the black level) was far and away better. We have had the tv for only a few days now, but so far I have no complaints, or regrets about my decision.

We also considered the 4065f, which supposedly has a slightly better black level, but since the TV would be in our living room, which has a lot of windows, we decided on the 4061f. (The 4065 has a glossy screen as compared to the 4061's matte screen). Also, when I looked at the two models in the store, I couldn't really tell a difference in the black level.
