This is my first portable music device, and I didn't know a thing about them.  I saw this one on QVC and grabbed it.  Mine came with a nice Belkin case and 6 months of Rhapsody free, so I paid a bit more than at the Big Box stores.  Most of the functions are intuitive (I didn't need to read the manual), but it took me a bit to figure out how to control the volume.  Also, I didn't know that it didn't come with an A/C adaptor.  Walmart has the home/car adaptor combo cheaper than anyone I've found.  I purchased this because it had an FM tuner, which I use regularly.  It is very easy to burn your music to your PC then transfer it to this device.  I had never done that prior to this purchase.  I bought my husband a used IPod to take with him on his deployment this past summer, but we're glad we have this little gadget because you aren't limited to what ITunes has in stock.  You can get your music almost anywhere!  I went on a cruise last month and didn't take the A/C adaptor with me, but I didn't run out of battery life.  The manual says it has a 20 hour battery life, and I believe it.  I'd buy this one again!
