Good phone but battery life... Ugh!

3

First of all I have to say I had my original Black Jack by Samsung for 5 years and it was still working! So when I upgraded to another phone I was pretty must set on another Samsung and Jack was their newest model at the time. I have had my Samsung Jack for about  one year and already had to get a replacement. I spent a long time trying to get Att to do something about the first Jack I received. It would lose the battery charge literally in 1-2 hours and that was from minimal texting and no phone calls. Goodness if I made a phone call on it... well let's just say I would drop the call, not because of my signal, but because my battery died withing 5-10 min. So ATT finally had me go to my closest repair center and get a new phone. UGH!!!! For about the first 2 days I had the phone the battery life was amazing! Then the problems started. Again. My battery life is limited and needs to be charges for 3-4 hours at least once a day. Like some other reviews I have seen about this phone mine too decided it wanted to start freezing. (Which my first Jack never did) I gave this phone 3 stars because while I do love it and love the windows based operating system. There are def. some flaws that need to be fixed. It amazes me how I could have the original BlackJack for 5 years without problems... and then get the new supposed to be better model and new issues are coming up monthly. Just beware when you buy one of these. Make sure there is a warranty and that you can get replacement with any issues.

The Samsung Jack is a high-tech, easy to use phone!

I am very picky when it comes to the electronics, particularly phones, that I use.  When it was time for me to upgrade my phone, I had no idea what to get.  The AT&T associates were very nice and picked out the perfect phone for me! The Samsung Jack is not too heavy, but has so many applications!  It is the third version of the Samsung Blackjack and, in my opinion, is the best one yet.  The keypad is the perfect size and it is easy to understand where all of the letters and symbols are.  The text messaging is amazing as well!  Instead of opening a new text every time you recieve one from the same person, it comes up in instant messaging form.  This means you will have every conversation that you had with someone.  Another great application is the internet.  You can access facebook, walmart, target, google, and many other websites at any part of the day!  This application is worth it because you can access any information at the click of a button.

My Samsung Jack is a good phone--just not what I expected.

I was very excited to buy the Samsung Jack by att&t when it came out.  I had used the Black Jack II and I loved it.  I do have to admit I have been a little disappointed with the newest Jack though. When I had read other reviews they said so many great things about the phone, which some are true, but some are not.  I have never been able to get my free wi-fi to work.  They promote the phone has wi-fi without the internet package, yes, it does have the feature but the feature does not work.  My battery life isn't very well on my phone either, and it hasn't been since I got it.  I do like the phone, but I would have been just as happy saving my money and keeping my Black Jack II.  My only suggestion would be don't put  a hard case on the phone, because a hard case scratches the phone worse than if you didn't have a case on at all.  The phone shows fingerprints a lot and sometimes feels slippery like it's going to fall out of my hand.  The Samsung Jack is a good phone, it just isn't what I expected.

Love the phone for business, but limited for apps.

The Jack by Samsung is a great phone for work / Outlook / Calendar, but is limited when it comes to social media.  I just had lunch with a colleague that raved about his Sprint Pre phone and the apps he had.  If I had to do it again I would have tried to find a phone with the business functionality, but a better browser and apps capabilities.
