I finally found an awesome phone!!!  I recently purchased the Samsung Impression (a877) and I cannot stop raving about it.  I find out new things about it almost every day (I've had it for over 2 months).

Something for the texters! I'm new to texting and I love this vibration-response touchscreen.  It's bright and clear. To spoil me even more.....a full slide-out keyboard!!!  I needed that!  For you youngsters out there - your texting life just went into overdrive. Actually mine just begun because I could never text on my previous phones because it just took way to long to compose msgs.

The good: The Samsung Impression has a brilliant touch screen, a roomy keyboard, and an intuitive design. It offers a functional midrange feature set and admirable multimedia performance and call quality.

The bad: The Samsung Impression has a proprietary headset jack, the camera lacks a flash, and keyboard shortcuts are few. Also, it lacks voice dialing and the promised battery life is rather short.

The bottom line: The Samsung Impression isn't perfect, but it ranks high on our list as a messaging and multimedia phone.

Specifications: Band / mode: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 (Quadband) / 3G 850/1900...

I have had this phone for about 4 months now. I previously had a Samsung so the layout is kinda the same which made it nice in transtiioning from the old cell to this one. This phone is very nice looking, sleek stylish, fully loaded. It looks high end and the screen is very nice LCD, however the screen is terrible in the bright sunlight. It is dark and full of glare. I got this phone because it had the touch screen AND the slide out qwerty keyboard. I figured I could switch between the 2 but I find myself using the touch screen almost all of the time. I also find that the phone is a little heavy....

I love this phone.  Its simply marvelous.  The Samsung Impression is for a girl like me.  I need to check e-mail, make calls and text through out the day.  Instead of taking my laptop with me, I can lessen my load and take this instead! It makes things easier on me because I'm out all day.
